Another question for Annie: Genesis preserves Sumerian culture. How did it get there?

The Sumerian civilization collapsed about 2000 BC, and Genesis preserves many of it's traditions, including:

the creation
the preflood kingdoms
the flood
the postflood kingdoms
migration into Shinar and the discovery of grain
use of tar in waterproofing cities nowhere near water
the tower of Babel built with Sumerian architecture
the existence of only one language and few words
life spans exceeding 200 years

Not a single one of these traditions is Hebrew. So where did they come from if it was NOT a man born in the Sumerian capital city of Ur?

The Garden of Eden was historically located based on it's description as in the Persian Gulf, which is south of Sumeria. It is possible that the Sumerian ideas evolved from the Hebrew Biblical ideas not the other way around. Abraham was from Ur, Ur of Chaldeans as described in the Book.
