She may have explained that she is an OBGYN, is on the way to a patient in labor, and the patient has a complication for which she is best suited to deliver the baby. The officer could have done the normal jackass toned "license and registration." Or she could have "chimped out" It really doesn't matter. The officer should have shown more discretion.
 
Being in labor is not considered a medical emergency. If we go to a call for a woman in labor we transport on the flow of traffic unless one of three complications exists which are all extremely rare. If delivery is imminent, we deliver on the scene. If it's not, we transport. But we don't transport on an emergency response.
 
All I have to know is an OBGYN of a woman in labor was arrested at a hospital for not yielding to an officer.

What part of fleeing from a traffic stop is not getting through to you? Had she stayed there and let him verify her story I'm sure she would have been on her way and nothing would have ever come of it. But she drove away from a traffic stop (FELONY) and deserved to be arrested.

And what if, during that "emergency" that you think would justify speeding, she slams into a car and kills someone?

I just posted a link a few pages back of a dr. that killed someone when he took off speeding from the cops.
 
So he shouldn't arrest a fleeing felon? If she had let him verify this during the traffic stop shed have been on her way.
