And conservatives wonder why we don't like or trust cops

I didn't say anything about this situation. I said there ARE situations where it's ok for an ordinary citizen to break the law.

You said:

And I contradicted you, and you agreed.

When you are arguing a point regarding lawful police powers and Joe_Cool is taking the "Pro" side...
and you're on the opposite side?

I'm just saying you should check your aim.

and again we're back to you believing it's the cop's responsibility to verify the driver's story.

as you've so eloquently said so many times, ""

We can keep saying this back and forth your you can realize that the officer should have shown more discretion.

In the example before. If I'm speeding with my fribrillating father in the back seat and you pull me over, ignore whats going on, and ask for my license and registration and say wait here I'm going to think your nuts and will leave. If you arrest me you are not only a dousche faced asshole but deserve to be suspended.

I call you a fascist because you have absolutely no concept of gray area. And I know this after having this argument with you over and over again. Sometimes certain situations occur where people have a good reason to let someone go. This happens to be one of those situations. But you cannot understand that because you have a narrow black and white view of the world. You lack compassion and your by the book stoic attitude blinds you.

If the woman was pregnant in the back seat you would advocate to throw her in jail.

Just fucking stop. You said UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE is it ok for a normal citizen to break the law. Then you listed a circumstance where it is ok for a normal citizen to break the law. If you don't understand how this is contradictory, then you are too stupid to live, and must now kill yourself for the good of humanity at large.

Being in labor isn't an emergency and how would the cop have known that before the fact?

How could he know it when the bitch sped off before giving him a chance to verify her story?

And no, being in labor isn't an emergency. It's a fairly common occurrence that has been happening since the first human.

Given her occupation, I'd give her a pass on the speeding...

...and throw her ass in jail for driving away from the traffic stop.

In my state, you can't cross the border with a duck on your head.

I'm seeing a lot of, "there were no specifics to what happened!"

HIPAA, anyone?

I've seen this referenced before and asked and never got a reply, so I'll ask you.

Can you link me to the law that says that? Because I think it's bullshit, but I'm willing to be proven wrong.
