And conservatives wonder why we don't like or trust cops

What l4zy hears on a daily basis is not by any means some kind of isolatd phenomenon you idiot. People naitonwide feed the poice any kind of story they can to get out of speeding tickets. It's well understood fact. Interview any police officer that has worked on traffic stops, which should be any officer you happen to see on the street, and they'll tell you the same exact thing. People will say anything to get out of a ticket.

Show me where it says that in the inital article or the one you posted. Because I just re-read (an admittedly quick scan) them and the only ones claiming anything about race are some residents and the NAACP.

No, it doesn't. Simply stating you're on your way does not constitute an emergency of life or death that would merit speeding, she was obviously not in an emergency response vehicle so she did not have any waived rights to violte traffic laws.

I'm still very confused about the "conservatives" comment. Does this mean liberals trust cops?

It is so silly to use being the doctor who is going to be delivering a baby as a legit medical emergency to justify speeding and then running from the cops after getting stopped. First of all, she got sent to jail, got released, and still had time to deliver the baby. Second of all, doctors while at the hospital don't spend all their time delivering the baby. They do whatever it is they do and show up in the room a couple of times while the nurses do most of the work and then deliver the baby when it is finally time. In other words, it wasn't an emergency. Finally, there was probably a dozen other doctors at the hospital who could have delivered the baby. Just like what would have happened if there was an actual emergency that kept this doctor from delivering this particular baby. It wasn't necessary for her to be there. So her excuse is just plain bullshit. She just thinks she is so far above the law that she doesn't have to obey traffic laws and certainly doesn't have to wait for the police to verify her excuse.

It would be different if for whatever reason she needed to get there ASAP for the patient's health. But clearly that isn't the case.

Yes, toothless slackjaw is a term for all stupid whites, not just ones who live in states like SC and are stereotypically conservative and dont understand the urgency of child birth.

I've been pulled over twice in my life. Both times were my fault for letting my registration slip. Once I got a ticket and the other a warning.

Never had any issues with the officers that pulled me over.

Most of the time, yes. But there are dickheads in law enforcement. Just like any other line of work. Thing is, they have more authority than, say, a megalomaniac assistant manager at Walmart. And the current Administration, like all the rest, seems hell-bent on increasing that power.

It seems so simple, yet complicated to so many others.

I'm sure the police resented this doctor; I also think she despised being pulled over and acted on impulse.

I was astonished that the police were suspended. But I suspect it's because this became national and they were made scapegoats.

The DA and the Police Chief have no balls. They caved to the race baiting assholes.

I love how I get called both a cop sackrider and a cop hater. That's my favorite thing about OT.

Two Pulaski Police officers involved with the arrest of Doctor Terry Wynn on May 5 have been suspended. Officer Chad Estes was suspended without pay for 30 calendar days. Sergeant Justin Young was suspended without pay for 7 calendar days.

So L4zy, go ahead and arrest me and enjoy your lack of pay.

The worst part about it is that the dickheads in law enforcement are treated as above the law and no one ever does anything to bring those assholes to justice. More often than not if they do something reprehensible they get "paid administrative leave" during the "investigation" until things blow over then they're back at it again in a few months.

And none of the so called "good cops" do anything about it.

Personally I feel like there are a lot of laws that are "ok" to break, but I realize my views aren't the norm and I'm not going to someone for disagreeing with that.

But there are A LOT of laws that are complete shit, that significant portions of the population break on a regular basis that even cops don't give a shit about. I find it a little ridiculous that someone would say these laws are "never ok to break:"

- Going 66 in a 65
- Not coming to a "complete" stop at a stop sign when no one is around
- Participating in an office March Madness pool
- Online poker sites
- Oral sex (in some states)
- Anal sex (in some states)

Not to mention the plethora of stupid laws that are still on the books. Go ahead and google "stupid laws" and see if you agree with all of them.

I could deliver that baby, and even if there was a complication, I could keep it alive long enough for someone who can deliver it to arrive.

It only takes an EMT-B to deliver a kid.

Unless she was the one going into labor... I would hope she'd get arrested for that bullshit.
