And conservatives wonder why we don't like or trust cops

No she didn't. "My patient is going to have a baby sometime probably today" does not justify leaving a traffic stop without permission. She was lawfully detained, and she just took off without being released.

Bitch needs to go to jail.

So what sort of circumstances would justify speeding to the hospital? If you were the cop in question, and rather than running, she told you "I'm a doctor, I'm rushing to the hospital because my patient is about to give birth" would you have let her go?

oh, his position is crystal clear.

he got (he says falsely) accused of drinking in public and had to go to court and plead it out, and he's bitter about the situation and cops in general. so if there's a way a cop *MAY* be wrong, then in his eyes the cop *IS* wrong and should be fired.

i still find it funny amusing that fryman still cant even but alcohol, such a young soul, he has so much to learn in life.

Dude not worth it. Joe knows everything there is to know about everything. Even when you're a doctor and he is not. He still knows better.

AND SHE DIDNT NECESSARILY KNOW THAT AND WHEN SHE GOT TO THE HOSPITAL THE STORY COULD HAVE BEEN VERIFIED WITH MINIAL INCIDENT. LETS CONTINUE THIS CONVORSATION LIKE CHILDREN IN CAPIPITOL LETERS.

or you can stop missinterpeting what I've said so you can argue more.

You'd have to be some kind of idiot to think that just a good, unverified story is enough or to think that someone else thinks that just because they feel the officer should have shown discretion.

Are you stupid?

The officer had to follow her to arrest her. He arrested her at the hospital and apparently told the hospital "well you just have to find another doctor because this one's under arrest." In other words, the officer was fully aware of the situation at the time of the arrest.

Apparently the officers actions at the station also were a factor in his suspension.

The doctor is still under investigation so I guess we'll know the outcome of her actions in time.

There are a lot of things that are more of an "emergency situation" than delivering somebody's baby who is already at the hospital surrounded by proper medical staff capable of delivering babies.

Such as... Oh shit! I left my kid at the gas station. or Oh Shit! I work at the utility company and power went out on a block. or Oh Shit! I haven't paid a bill and I have to drop it off by noon. or Oh Shit! I was speeding and a cop caught me.

In no way do I think she should have been taken to the station. However, the officer was right in arresting her, and he was still justified in taking her to the station for booking. That's procedure.

And apparently the capital letters are necessary because you seem hard of reading and comprehension at how anything involving the law works.

edit: and if you dont want to be misunderstood, then you need to be clear. what you said makes it sound like all you would have needed to hear (had you been the cop) was that she was a doctor.

She told the officer why she was speeding and left. It would be no different than if my father had a heart attack and I was on the way to the hospital and got pulled over for speeding. I would have done the same thing. In fact, the officer should have led the way. How retardedly dense can you get?

And the only reason this is even a discussion is because she's black. Any other race and she'd be charged with felony evasion. Fucking racism.

I have no doubt of that. But the fact remains she ran from police after being stopped for speeding, and "my patient will probably have a baby today" doesn't justify exceeding the speed limit by 50%. It's not an emergency.

your, not you're

Anyways, you're an idiot. How the fuck are you going to keep a fetus alive when the mother has a placental abruption? I realize we've now strayed from the original topic, but you guys are making these idiotic claims that any doctor, or even any EMT, can handle an obstetric emergency.
