An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

Hah:whythis:

Never lump SP with the likes of Linkin Park. I guess you have not heard :

Talentless? I think not.

Wow, this was a pretty impressive rant. You actually planned it well. Oh and.... maybe it's just me but I dont' have the patience to do 100 list, haha. But nice work, and considering the #1 on your list... I totally agree. I hate when I hear a band that I have no opinion on. I usually judge a song on it's beginning, if I don't like the beginning I skip ,if I do I listen on. But sometimes I don't know what to think so I listen to the whole song to see if something just "pops" out at me.... but nothing does.. then I'm pretty pissed because I wasted my time on something that I have no desire putting on my ipod, but no intent to say it sucks.

I used to collect a fair bit of vinyl, mostly Smiths stuff, until my record player broke. May have been a good thing considering how expensive it all was, but it was quite handy in listening to b-sides that i hadn't heard before.

is that because you're looking at nurabers though? Influence will always create more bad than good.

I think it would also be a good idea to decide what we want to call influence and what we want to call a "lifting of style."

the banRAB being cited as the reason for grunge being a bad influence weren't really influence, they heard smells like teen spirit and hung up their posion cover band attire and went to the thrift store.

Grunge did just fine in my estimation. If you think music can be fake today, the 80's did fake like no ones business. I mean, devo wanted to be robots for god's sake, that should tell you something. I think grunge went quite a ways in reminding the people that music could be passionate.

Babysharables are okay, Pete seemed to have better lyrics with the Libertines but that was probably because he wrote them with Carl, But I have to admitt I love Pete's voice.

i used to feel the EXACT same way about primus until about a year ago and it just hit me. . . it's ****ing great!

and the last thing i find their music to be is boring. . . (annoying i can see, kind of)

I have 10 years on you so think how much more these songs I've heard. It's gotten to the point where I despise Classic Rock stations. Songs I used to love I can't stand to hear anymore. Some songs I didn't like to begin with. I usually throw out lines like "that song was good the first 10,000 times I heard it" and I feel this is no exaggeration. I still love the classics but I try to avoid them so I can one day enjoy them again. Don't ever saturate yourself on the same songs of any time period or genre.
