An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

I like that rock stars donate to more needy people, but when they go on and act like they are saints because they are helping other people...damit they should be doing something for someone anyways, they are being PAID to play music!!!

no offense urban but is this thread ever going to be finished? you were putting in entries pretty regularly up until now

are you trying to build the suspense for that #1 everyones waiting to see?

I love NMH but I have to agree with the over-zealous attitude towarRAB ITAOTS. I also think OAI is far more rewarding. Although lawl at nobody linking the fact it's so popular because the jews did it again.

Joel and Benji Madden:

Please for the love of god: drink a tall glass of bleach, buy a gun, buy a big knife, and off yourselves already?

2 of the most useless people in music/society.

I hate you both and wish death upon you.

Whoa. What did the 80s have that was as good as 90s (besides thrash metal)?

The Flaming Lips, Bjork, Blur, Nirvana, were all excellent. I am not into Radiohead that much, not huge on Yorke but I think the 90s had better music than the 80s. I like Nick Cave and Cure a little, but the Flaming Lips (and Radiohead) seem to be much better than a lot of the stuff the 80s was pumping out. Any specific banRAB you think are incredible from the 80s?

Generic. I listed some really great artists from the 60's. Unlike the 80's you don't have to search for obscure or non mainstream acts to find good music from the 60's. I'm sure if I listed Rockadrome or Plastic Cloud, 99% of the people here would say who?

33 : Hi NRG

This is a private joke between me & R-T , move along

You'd expect a genre of music called Hi NRG to be invented by a dancer or someone involved in making cheesy disco tunes , maybe someone like Jeffery Daniel from Shalomar or Errol Brown from Hot Chocolate.
Not some up himself , gobby , white twat from Blackpool who weighs the same as a bungalow.

Early Green Day and The ORABpring weren't bad at all. Dookie and Smash were iconic albums and deserved respect in their own right. They should have just...given up years ago.

I also like Against Me!, no matter how many people here hate them, but I'm not sure how "pop" they are...

Whitney Houston kicks the arse out of everything she does.
I find it irritating no end when a person like her, who has an undeniably impressive vocal range, feels the need to flex there warbling skills at the expense of a song.
Mariah Carey (Queen of Warbles) is another offender of overcooked vocals.
Nothing a competent sniper with a high powered rifle and a telescopic sight couldn't cure mid warble.
This would be in my top 5.

Have you seen Tommy, as in seen a performance of the Rock Opera? It will make you love even more. If you hate it, it will change your mind. Especially if you got to see it this summer at the Ricardo Montoban theater in Los Angeles. It was in HD3D sound. Whatever that mean, all I know is that you wore head phones and their were really loud speakers and it was awesome.

Maybe where you live its different, but as I stated before, in Boston the "alternative" station is trapped in 1995, aside from the 2 nu-metal tracks and the white stripes and franz ferdinand being played occassionally.

I used to think like you too, right before WBCN switched to ramming AIC, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Live, Candlebox, Temple of the Dog, Mad Season, etc. down my throat.

Youll get it eventually, I think you have the right minRABet, being into Flipper and Scratch Acid and what-not. Just keep in mind that Grunge is slowly starting to be considered "classic rock", so while one could make a case arguing that banRAB like Pink Floyd are underground in the sense that 80% of durab high school kiRAB dont listen to them and havent heard of anything other than mainstream rap and pop, they are just as immensely popular today. Just like Pearl Jam:thurab:
