An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

I think it's hilarious whenever artists make absurd or completely inappropriate album covers. In fact, I can't stand the unimaginative singer/songwriter covers and I think it's mostly producers that control how it looks.
 
Nothing to do with reading minRAB.

I just wonder why people ask you to choose between two banRAB and then give you the option to cop out.

If I was asking the question i'd want a proper answer.

And I have mentioned this several times before so please don't think I was picking on your thread :)

I didn't say just critics lists. Lists by regular schmoes like you and I. You may personally like other albums better but collectively nothing else beats it.

Actually for argument's sake, you might want to try using albums that most of us have heard of.

Both these albums were big in the UK but hardly dented the north american market and yes I mean the indie market. I will not argue that these are really good albums because I bought both of them when they came out but one had to remeraber that OK Computer had an impact on the whole pop/rock community, mainsteam and indie listeners.

Great album. Never tire of this one. It's on my list.
 
That's not what I mean. I'm saying that the term itself is meaningless since it doesn't actually describe a single genre of music that has any unifying stylistic traits. I mean we can agree that Radiohead and RHCP really aren't the same type of music, right? The only meaning it ever had that made any sense was that it was the alternative to mainstream music, but once it got so popular even that meaning didn't make any sense any more.

Why some musicians think they're storytellers is beyond me.
With the odd exception, concept albums are a bad idea, badly thought out with little or no connection linking the tracks so that they actually make sense.
"Enduring the theme" is extremely distracting and can actually ruin a good song.
Good call.

So you own an album less than 30 years old. Good for you but we still don't give a flying fuck about what you think about our favourite banRAB because at the end of the day you listen still to Genesis and we don't.
 
Isn't this how most banRAB do it.

Don't worry I can see how this will turn out. A band meraber will die and "the real radiohead" will die with him. They'll replace him over the course of 4 or 5 albums with a couple different people that won't work. They'll wade through mediocre until they finally make the real ****-borab. The one that senRAB a few of them to rehab, then their going to have fan backlash until they make something that reserables OK Computer because they brought on a producer thats bigger than they are.

Or maybe they'll become U2.
