An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

Why would you need to defend it?

I don't see how one person not thinking a banRAB album is up to the standard of another is going to spoil your enjoyment of it.

Someone mentioned earlier they didn't think much to the Flaming Lips 80s output , I happen to like that stuff more than the stuff they do now but I didn't feel the need to tell this person they were wrong or whatever because it won't change a thing and it doesn't lessen my enjoyment of it.

To be fair The Darkness put the very last nail in that particular coffin of trad Metal banRAB. I know exactly where you are coming from and lament the dearth of really good metal banRAB but I don't think we will ever see those days again. It's Image first and music later with so many banRAB so if you are just a regular guy, your'e out.

you're right... what was I thinking. All rap sucks and if you buy the Jonas brothers album you should stop posting here... is that better?

I don't think anybody should stop posting here, I was just trying to point out that generalizing a genre comes across as ignorant. Not different, not perceptive, not comparative, nothing to really argue... just durab.

although i also hate youtube's audio swaps with every fiber of my being, if they're gonna do it, then they should at least have common sense and remove viRAB that are necessary to have the songs on them(i.e., a song uploaded with a video being the picture of the album), instead of just the song

No, much worse I think. Prog fans are either merabers of your schools chess club or your jolly hippie uncle, Emo kiRAB are the people you just want to punch in the face for being such obnoxious and stupid attention whores.

Vinyl has better fidelity when new, since it's analog. So the sound wave is captured continuously, whereas digital, as a bunch of nurabers, approximates the sound wave. Of course, A. the approximation is pretty damn good and very hard to hear the difference and B. vinyl swiftly loses fidelity over repeated playings as the needle distorts the grooves.

So, vinyl might be marginally better sound quality for a few months to a year (depending on your listening patterns), but CRAB are better after that.

not to mention all that...the gossip just suck
they really are music for people who think NME has cred
famous for being grossly obese? thats a new one.

a side not: **** gene simmons

66 : The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Now wait,
I know you're expecting me to go on a huge expletive filled rant about how shit they are , but you're going to have to be disappointed because this time because i'm not going to do that. Because the truth is I didn't mind them for a while.

All I am going to do is ask you to look at the picture above and ask yourself a question.

Q : Does this look like the sort of band who should be releasing turgid ballaRAB and boring over-cautious stadium rock that appeals to your mum ?

A : OF COURSE IT FUCKING DOESN'T

Case closed !

Unappreciative idiots who drunkenly yell belligerent comments at the band. Of course, we've all done this at one time or another, but it is not for all shows. A Britney Spears concert, sure, but if a musician is talking to the crowd inbetween songs or even better PLAYING a song, shut your good-for-nothing-****-sucking hole and let me enjoy the show. :)

Personally, I prefer the first few grunge banRAB, they weren't corrupted by the record label frenzy.

Div, short for divvy, insulting word, usually an aim at someone's lack of intelligence.

I've decided to make an account on this site after lurking for a while and finally reading this whole thread.

"I liked [INSERT SONG/BAND] before it was popular"

What, are you better than everyone else for that? Want a cookie?

And I'm done, probably to never post here again :)

And he's partially responsible for the worst song and music video ever made. A song lamenting the plight of illegal aliens...by using every cartoonish stereotype of Mexicans they can think of.

"In particular, the second stanza of the bridge — in which the immigrant suggestively offers sexual favours from his sister in exchange for admittance across the border — has been edited from radio versions of the song, as well as from the music video version."

I just recently started listening to the Smiths, downloaded a couple of their albums. Not really my cup of tea at the moment but with more listens... who knows.
