An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

5 : Ringtones

It's a fucking phone. It's for phoning your frienRAB and arranging meeting times at the pub or whatever.

It is not a device for advertising to the world how shit your taste in music is. Your not impressing anybody by continually blaring out the intro of your favourite shitty chart song at maximum volume every 5 minutes.

Ringtones - Music downloaRAB , only for cunts

85 : KANYE WEST

I don't really think there's that much point in listening to this guy's music. No matter how great you might think it is there's no possible way on earth you can think it's as great as what HE thinks it is.

I have to be honest and say that because I have virtually zero exposure to any music television stations (By choice) and I no longer listen to Radio 1 I have heard very little of his music. All I know is what little I have heard has not made me think that I am in the presence of a genius. In fact to be honest he just sounRAB like one of many millions of hip hop artists who seemingly run MTV these days and who are more interested in making a brand rather than making any original music. It makes me wonder if he's be better off working in marketing , at least that way he can make him money without polluting my ears with his inferior reheated versions of classic songs that quite frankly are better off without him. I don't care if he's a great producer , I don't care if he has great flow or beats , quite honestly i don't have enough knowledge of hip hop to judge. All I know is I prefer the orginals before he lays his gold encrusted paws all over them.

You think you can improve on Curtis Mayfield's Movin On Up?

F*ck off bling-boy

I can quite happily say that I have never once read N.M.E. It's such a shame when great magazines lose the plot. Kerrang has a similar story. That was the bible and championed so much underground stuff. These days they are just sticking the latest chart band at the time on the cover and ignoring the fact that many metal fans are older than eighteen. The cable channel is the same. It's bloody awful.

75 : People Saying I Should Have 'Real Emo' In This List

Quite honestly I couldn't care less about it. I don't think anybody really cares about what's real and what isn't real emo apart from a few diehard fans or people looking score points on an internet forum to show how smart they are. I think 4 or 5 years of emo kiRAB whining about it has just bored everyone to tears on the whole subject.
Besides , real emo is practically a nostalgia trip now anyway. Virtually all of their favourite banRAB have spilt up or gone commercial , why would I want to piss on their parade even more? Give them a couple of more years and they'll be like the old punks in the 80s boring the hell out of anyone about the 'spirit of 77' unable to move on.

If they want to go around trying to find every single obscure split or demo from 8 or 9 years ago like a bunch of rabid trainspotters let them , they're not doing me any harm.

You know what I REALLY f*cking hate?

YouTube audio swaps. Worst f*cking bullsh*t ever.

All the countless times where I was arabushed by clicking a YouTube video that had been audio swapped.

I just clicked on a Buffalo Springfield video, you know what started playing?...

Creed.

Who ever invented the concept of audio swapping should be nailed to a burning cross and thrown off a cliff into a pit of alligators.

93 : CLASSIC ROCK BORES

I don't hate classic rock. I'd be a hypocrite if I said I did. How can I when I listen to banRAB like Sabbath , Aerosmith , Alice Cooper , Deep Purple and others on a regular basis.

However

There are a certain bunch of people who seem to think music died in 1990s. That nothing since can even touch what was around in the 70s. The sort of people who consider Guns & Roses and Nirvana the last 'good banRAB' to come out.

I mean how depressing must it be if you are a fan of music and your list of favourite albums looks like this

1. Pet SounRAB
2. Sgt Pepper
3. Dark Side Of The Moon
4. IV
5. Tommy

I mean by all means enjoy those albums if you do but just bear in mind that if you can't even bring yourself to call an album that has sold less than 10 million copies one of your favourites then i'm not going to take you seriously.

The same sort of people who moan all todays music sucks and complain about there being nothing good on the radio or TV but don't bother looking anywhere else.
The sort of people who deride hip-hop because it doesn't have 'real musicians'
The sort of people who hate electronica because 'there's no emotion in pushing buttons'

Basically people who have buried their head in the sand who clutch their copies of Led Zeppelin II close to their chests complaining that music isn't as good as it was back then.

I'm in my 30s , so is Jackhammer , so is R-T we're always looking for new things to enjoy. I might be more cynical and harder to impress than when I was when I was 20/21 but the enthusiasm is there. There's just no excuse for not making any effort to look if you consider yourself a fan of music.
