American Dad - "Rapture's Delight" - Talkback [12/13]

Great episode! American Dad is the only show I know that can pull something like this off. Although they should have shown a side story with the kids and their fantasies even though we all would know what Steve's would be.

BEST. EPISODE. EVER.

The ending is going to mess a continuity nut like me up, but this just kicked this show up to being my favorite MacFarlane show (and my favorite non-Groening Fox show) of all time. Definitely an amazing send-off to its SD era (the next new episode will be in HD) and the most epic Christmas special ever.

As soon as I saw the real A.C., "The Riddler" popped into my mind.

Wow, that was an amazing episode.

It started out like a typical episode and suddenly, we get a complete 180 with the Rapture and it all goes uphill from there. The last act of the episode was probably the most badass thing I've ever seen on Fox Sunday nights. Post-Apocalyptic settings are always awesome, and this one was spot on.

Anti-Christ was completely out of the ordinary, and he went out like the wimp he is. That ending though, is one huge mind-screw. So Claus is finished now or what?

True, true.

I love their twisted, epic Xmas episodes. I loved almost everything about it, especially the Mad Max-esque third act.

I have a feeling that when AD eventually ends, that it will gain significantly in popularity due to people discovering how underrated it actually is/was...

This episode was great! Best of the season for sure! I always love the action-packed episodes like this. It's something that American Dad does best! It may even be the best Christmas episode! I'm not sure yet as the first 2 were incredible. The show does those right too.

The ending was confusing. I sure hope Klaus isn't gone! Glad to see the golden poop return and of course naked Haley. :D

So from now on everything that happens is actually in Stan's personal heaven, while the actual Earth remains destroyed? ......Wow, it's like Garfield, only intentional.

You'd assume I'd be excited to see that turd again, but the fact is, it's been ignored for so long that this feels like a cop-out to avoid dealing with it again. I don't think it's gonna appear after this. Similarly, they may be tired of Klaus...

I wish Fox had an actual animated show like that third act. They probably never will.

....I really hope I don't need to tell anybody how biblically inaccurate this was. :o

I kind of highly doubt that, especially since Klaus appeared in the next episode produced.

Anyone think that we'll see another new opening sequence with the switch to HD next episode?...

This was better than Family Guy tonight.

I thought he looked like the free money guy.

I know I've complained about this before, but it needs to be repeated. It annoys me that the show's main character is a government agent yet they rarely take advantage of it. As great as this episode was it's pretty much expected that it'll be another season before we get another one like it. If the producers don't want an action show then fine. Atleast do more episodes like the Mr. Peanut one or when Stan moves to the Middle East. You know, something that takes advantage of his profession.
