Alternator causing buzzing from speakers with Pioneer AVIC F700 BT?

Hi all,
Just had this Pioneer unit installed in my 2003 tahoe with the Scosche GMLAN2SR replacement harness w/chime...at first I thought the buzzing was from the dimmer wheel for the lights inside...it was set at about half intensity. I dimmed the lights all the way down and the buzzing got louder, I turned it up to full and the buzz went away completely...HOWEVER, when I turn the vehicle on, the kind of "whistling" buzz starts up. It gets whinier as you press the gas pedal too... Might this be an issue with the Scosche device or my Pioneer?

I was told that perhaps the Pioneer is not "filtered" and that the alternator could be causing interference I'm hearing. This is apparently an "easy fix" but I was not told what that fix IS...can anyone help me with this? Thank you all so very much! I don't want to spend $80 on a new harness to replace the scosche if that isn't even the problem...

Alternator whine, 90% of the time caused by a bad ground. If your wiring harness is connected to the existing ground wire harness, try grounding it to a part of the frame/metal component and see if that solves it.
