Can anybody please suggest alternative tests for visual acuity? i need it for a project and i can't use the letter test.
Thank you.

There are many other tests that do not rely on recognition of letters. There's one called the Kay's pictures test which makes the use of pictures.

There's also a Landolt C test, where the person is shown C shapes in various directions and they have to say where the gap is.

There are also preferential looking cards that can be used. These do not rely on the conventional letter

All the best

The standard not letter acuity tests are;
Tumbling Es. Es are on the chart open in different directions. Patient points to which side is open.
Landolt Cs. Same as tumbling E's but with C's.
Picture Chart.

I listed one possible supplier of these chars below as well as a company that makes a computer program that allows you to show standardized charts on a monitor.
