alpine vs re audio??????

(1) RE AUDIO 12" MX SERIES WOOFERS 1500RMS

or

(6) 10" alpine type r

which one would be louder?.. i know..its like a duhhhhhhh question..6 subs vs 1 subs...but honestly i heard people said that the re audio is a effing beast..especally the mx model.

on a 2500.1 kicker zx amp..
 
the type r's would be ALOT louder spl wise and but in the long run would probably cost more and take up a bit more space. i would try to get 2 of the RE MX subs....but 15's if you really want to get loud. it would still be a close battle tho vs. 6 r's. ALOT will also depend on your enclosures.
 
first off, dont listen to the guy up there ^

alpine makes a great type r i have 2 12" type r's and there rms value is 500W
so clearly he was overpowering them.
type r is more of an SQ sub, so i would go with the mx
 
honestly this is from personal experience the re subs are beast but i haven't heard a MX model. and the alpine type r is a really shitty sub i got one as a replacement for my diamond audio D6 and the type r blew with in 1 day of being on my amp i was giving it bout 600 watts of power well with in its claimed range. so i would most definitely go with the Re dude.
