Alpine MRP-500 and SWS-1222D?

I purchased an Alpine MRP-500 amp that does 300w x 1 @ 4ohm and 500w x 1 @ 2ohm. I was also looking to purchase a SWS-1222D sub that is rated at 200-500w RMS. Looking through the manual that came with the amp, I don't see how to run it at 2 ohms? Will it automatically do it if I match it with a 2ohm sub? Thanks for reading!
