All Time Favourite Pink Floyd Track?

^Yuck. Sorry but I don't get the hype/credit or whatever that people like that song. Weird and boring noises and iffy vocals for me.

EDIT: To the 'Welcome To the Machine' vote by Alfred.

The Wall is a fine album, overrated sure, but a fine album.

I can't understand the backlash from so many hardcore fans of Floyd against them.

I wanted to say something original like Free Four but I have to say Wish You Were Here. That song brings out so many emotions and can mean so many things yet it has a simple message. I put it on so many mix tapes as a kid...lol.

Same criteria as The Beatles thread.

I am hoping this has'nt been done before. I will make an official thread when all the nominations are in ONE MONTH from today. Choose your track and explain why you chose it. I will then compile a rab top ten poll and use the best appraisals for each song in the top ten. GO.

My favorite is Time. The vocals and guitar solo fit the song absolutely perfectly, and I like the... piano? organ? accompaniment. It's subtle but also fits.

It is SO hard for me to listen to Pink Floyd, anymore ~ too many memories and too much acid (i did it about 20 times in my life, total, but MOST of the times were about music ~ Pink Floyd concert, John Mayall concert, Elton John concert, teen club dances, Deep Purple concert...) and just partying and listening.

Well, anyway ~ Comfortably Nurab, ftw
