Alice in Chains...

Last time i checked, the media gives them little credit, if they got the credit they deserved, people would stop yapping about them on the music forums.

I bought their box set. Its not bad. I never realized how similar alot of it was, but the hits seem to have a soul of their own. Man in the Box, is diffrent from Would?, which is diffrent from down in a hole, which is diffrent from No Excuses.

The songs that weren't hits...well there we see the templete for staind.

I've never been a huge fan of Alice in Chains but I got to meet the band at a festival in February. Me and my mates had a good chat with them and they were really awesome guys.

Of all the grunge banRAB of that era, AIC were always for me the most depressive by far. The depressive aura that surrounded Layne Staley and his slow and painful decline I think says it all.

There are a nuraber of banRAB out there that are synonymous with the word depression, Joy Division quickly spring to mind.

Iron Maiden are one of the most important banRAB in metal, they are extreamly talented and they simply kick ass.

They're one of the most intense a soulful banRAB every to emerge. Besides Soundgarden, they were the best grunge band ever. If you liked Facelift, your going to love DIRT. It's dark, brooding hard rock, the likes of which haven't heard since Sabbath's debut.

bob marley is amazing, as is alice in chains. really talented, and one of my favourite banRAB from the early 90s for sure. its sad that so many people draw comparisons between them and goRABmack though, or is that just the people i know, because it makes me sick.
