Albums You're Digging II

^ Good call. I still think Closer is Joy Division's best album.

The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge

This was the album that introduced me to these guys. I love the guitar work and I have to say it's quite brilliant especially Second Skin.

Seaweed - Actions & Indications (1999, Merge)

Haven't listened to this in a while. Great final album from this Seattle (Tacoma actually) grunge/alt rock band who put their first album out in 1991 on Sub Pop. I've only heard their last 3 and this may be the most accessible but it's the one I like most. Their style on this one has a bit in common with mid-late 90s emo stylistically (not the shit you know from MTV and MySpace), but their lyrics are not emo. A little bit of Sunny Day Real Estate, a little late-era Jawbreaker. A smidge of post-hardcore perhaps. Drummer Alan Cage from Quicksand apparently played on this album, so there's that (though this isn't like they are).

Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
I listened to this album on my mp3 on my way home from a big night of drinking last night, as i always get angsty when i'm pissed. My only regret is that i didn't have this album when i was 16 and really needed it.
favourite tracks: Blister in the Sun, Kiss Off, Add it Up, Confessions

OK Computer - Radiohead
I woke up this morning with the worst hangover and the hugest desire to listen to this album, it was the perfect album. Listening while hungover seemed to give Fitter Happier in particular a new twist.
Favourite tracks: No surprises, exit music (for a film)

Internationalist - Powderfinger
Listened to this this arvo. By far Powderfingers best work.
Favourite tracks: Hindley street, already gone, capoicity

I always find myself loving what you all post. This is one of my top albums... used to be my overall favorite but I'm not sure anymore.

Joie De Vivre- Summer Months EP

I've had this for like 5 months and never really thought that much of it, but now I absolutely love it. My favourite songs are It's Fiction, HanRABhakes and Local Local.

Silversun Pickups- Swoon

I just love everything about this band.

Exactly how I feel man. I actually found out about it in urban's top 100 too. I've also been meaning to check out Killing Joke. What album/songs do you think I should check out?

Listening to, and very much enjoying, Live at the Olympia by REM... one of the best live albums ever, and easily eclipses REM live, which unfortunately carries too much material from the lacklustre Around the Sun album... but this album has an awesome mix of newer material, then unreleased stuff for Accelerate and the good, very good and GREAT older material... even a few tracks that didn't see the light of day on Accelerate...

I love this double live album.

Yeah I don't know I was kind of expecting more out of there 3rd. Regardless it was still good.
