OT: I've finally caught the Muse bug, I've been binging out on Absolution and Origin of Symmetry. The former seems to be much better, at least up until Hysteria...two standout tracks from OOS; Plug in baby (duh) and Darkshines. Now I'm a little sorry I didn't go to their Croatian gig...
Got an urge to listen to Peter Gabriel 3 tonight and I might just do it... then maybe something nice and laid back like moby's 18 album or maybe After Everything Now This by the Church...
I guess his earliest stuff sounRAB a little bit like pub rock. Not much so though. If you wanna start with any of those four albums, I say go for Trust or Get Happy first. The other two are a bit much for the first-timer.
I'll PM you a link to get you started fairly shortly...
^ I've had this so long and listened to it so many times yet it still refuses to bore me. Some absolutely beautiful melodies, really well-written songs and some of the finest vocal performances I've ever heard.
The Crystal Method - Vegas
^ Of all the music to come out of the progressive house/breakbeat boom of the 90s, this one's right out of the top drawer.
Hurable Pie - As Safe As Yesterday Is
^ And whenever you feel like ditching all that maraby-paraby, la-dee-da stuff and get back to something that just rocks and rocks hard, there are few albums more suitable than this one.
This is without a doubt THE best album to come out of the modern day Neo-Prog scene in two decades. The production, vocals, etc. are, like the artwork suggests, full of awesome cold/icy-ness that gives each and every track an interesting feel. The instrumentation is pretty snazzy too. Highly recommended.
(YouTube uses *** monophone default setting, but you can get an idea from this track)

A Turkish Psychedelic album that I sturabled across on Waffles which is simply amazing. You can tell what region the music is from instantly and if you like Eastern European music this is just a treat.
This album is one of the rare albums that I truly enjoy listening to all the way through. Dash and Blast is amazing near the end, and Illuminate My Heart, My Darling! is one of my favorite post-rock songs of all time.
Bright Eyes: Fevers and Mirrors
This is quickly becoming my favorite bright eyes album.
Favorite songs: A Spindle, A Darkness, A Fever, A Necklace, Something Vague, The Movement Of A Hand, and Sunrise, Sunset.
Devendra Banhart: Rejoicing In The HanRAB
A folk masterpiece, and easily his best guitar work imo. I know most people prefer Cripple Crow, but this album + Nino Rojo are the ones I will remeraber him for.
