Albums You're Digging II

I loved the song "Private Eye", it had such a great noir sound to it, plus the dude in it was bad ass!

Samael - The Eternal

Been digging this album so much lately, such a perfect blend of electronica, industrial, and metal.

Wait a second now,

This thread would be pretty stale if it was just a list of albums that people are "digging" and nothing more. We were engaging in conversation that was not just on topic but entirely relevant to what scottsy's original post was.

Look, I understand that you might not like U2 or Radiohead (it's almost painfully clear) but this is a little much. We were just talking.

Anyway, I revisited this one earlier today. Better than last time I listened to it.

loved that gris song. not a metal guy except for some different semi-similar niche genres (grindcore, jazz-core, a little black metal, early hardcore, etc.) but man that blew me away. thanks for the suggestion.

I just bought Rihanna's new cd. I'm really diggin it.. Don't get me wrong, with what 6 posts this makes me look like some MTV newb... This cd is actually pretty interesting and personal. Vulnerabitlity shines through a lot of great parts in the songs. The album is produced pretty well I think except one song where the guitar sound is just baaaaaad... I definitely got infected with this pop sound. Inspiring for my own song writing in the way that it's always nice to make the true and universal accessible in pop form. Like Bob Dylan.. Anyway, it's work checkin out if your curious..

I don't know how you feel about buying stuff online, but I got my copy for about four dollars American (with shipping) on Amazon. I just feel uneasy about uploading entire albums.

I didn't know Gilmour and Kate St. John got married; that's pretty cool, considering what a great job he did on DKOW and their debut.

Um, thanks for the video but I didnt really dig that song, I think Ill be more into their earlier stuff. Much like Crowded House, I expected them to be hit and miss. Funny how the songs I hate my mum likes & the ones I like my mum doesnt like or is indifferent to. Usually its best not to pay attention to your parents taste in music, but I was an impressionable kid.

lol I had told you about it on Last Fm.

Tonight I am digging Beside Yourself by the Church... a companion B - sides album to their "Forget Yourself" release of 2003... but stanRAB up quite well as an album... remarkably well, showing the true depth this band really has!

i love this EP, it's filled with great tracks from start to finish. i learned about her after hearing Chick Habit in that horrible film Death Proof, and finally managed to track down most of her discography. her sound changes quite a lot after her first few albums, but all her stuff is very enjoyable. if you enjoy indie pop with flair, check it out!

^ On a bit of a Nick Cave bender at the minute.

And...

^ A few mediocre songs, but otherwise it's just as fun and lively as Adam Ant at his best.

Is this the best all girl metal album ever? Even ignoring the fact that there is a terrible lack of such albums, this is a fantastic slice of U.K 80's metal.

...and 80's Genesis. I'm recovering from a month of musique concrete and 'a man slapping concrete with his **** for half an hour accompanied by improvised bagpipes is music too' thing. 'Abacab' is so good. thinking is hard
