Besides a lull in the middle of it, this is a pretty good folk-rock album, and certainly nowhere near as dull as a lot of other modern takes on the genre I've heard are. Even if it's a bit too long for its own good, an impressive debut - the lass is definitely one for the future.

Curse Ov Dialect - Wooden Tongues (2006)

The best hip-hop album I've heard in what seems like centuries. These Australian blokes posses a particularly wicked grasp of flow and sampling that I don't see too often: such is their talent that they even morph 'Drip Drip' from Comus's First Utterance into a near-danceable stompfest (see below). Respect!

Monster by REM... time has not faded my love for this album, just a damn fine early nineties rock album, although the tunefullness you expect of these guys, except with the amps turned up and lotsa distortion.... good stuff! Have seen most of these songs played live, too!

I'm finally working my way onto a second The Kills album after starting with Keep Me On Your Mean Side. Don't know why I skipped the second album. I think I liked the first one better, but this one is pretty good...

Doesn't sound like a band who are nearly 20 years old at all. Easily one of my favourite acts right now.

I've been stressed as hell lately and this helping me chill out a bit, the title track in particular is inspired.
