Have A Nice Life - Deathconciousness

Oh man does this album ever fit the mood I'm in right now...

Nat Baldwin - MVP

It's been forever since I first saw this guy play, I liked him right off the bat and as I sit here listening to MVP i can safely say nothing's changed, he's still just as amazing as I remeraber. The music is like contemporary soul, but still has a timeless quality to it.. his key weapons being a standup bass and a beautiful falsetto. I guess he's done work with The Dirty Projectors but I haven't heard any of it.

I have this on cassette and cannot find it on CD anywhere. If you have an up that would be top banana. Waterloo and Gaby Says are fantastic tracks. Produced by David Gilmour too, in fact his future wife was in the band.

Ooh, good start! Sketches of Spain is one of my favorite Miles albums. If you're brave, go on a dive into some Bitches Brew or my absolutely favorite miles album, Live-Evil.

Always a pleasure to inspire someone to check out an album. I try not to talk about albums in here unless I'm sure other people will enjoy it (as long as they are partial to the genre I'm talking about in the first place). Hope you like it!

Wow I actually know this one! It seems like every time someone posts an album everyone goes "great choice " or "One of my personal favorites" or "the best of the genre!" and I never even heard of it before.

Post Punk meets Krautrock influences via Lo Fi arabient passages. It's fucking ace.

Zaraza-Slavic Blasphemy:

Mentioned in my self titled thread. This is experimental Doom with samples, keyboarRAB and odd time signatures. Oh yes it's tasty.

Porcupine Tree-Insignificance:

A bunch of outakes, demos and rare tracks that is actually very cohesive and features a wide range of their sound.

Nothing spectacular but this gentle indie guitar album with it's very slight Jazz tinged atmosphere is perfect for work.

1349 - Liberation

Raw, butt-banging Black metal. Those who know me (nobody) will have realised I prefer the more commercial sound of Black metal (Satyricon and Marduk's 'better sound quality' albums in mind, oppose to disliking their earlier stuff). However, 1349 does a good job in bringing an intense, enjoyable sound, with Frost dominating drums.

Liberation, Riders Of The Apocalypse, and Satanic Propaganda (love the intro) are favourites of mine on the album.
