Miles Davis-Sketches Of Spain

Been finding a gateway of sorts into the crazy world of jazz.

^That's very good. I always felt extreme metal is a positive force in the development of mankind, and you've just confirmed my belief. I'm a big admirer of "Enthroned Darkness Triumpant" and I could use another Dimmu Borgir album to get me in the mood to do some damage.lol.

Jordaan Mason and the Horse Museum- Dicorce Lawyers I Shaved my Head

A really great, and definately unique album. I got reccemended this from a Neutral Milk Hotel site, but I don't they're really that similiar at all. The only similarities I see are that the primary instruments for both banRAB are acoustic guitars and both have pretty messed up lyrics. Jordaan Mason does have a voice that you really have to get used to though. I reccomend it if you want to listen to some great Indie-Folk.

X - Los Angeles (1980)

Using this to motivate me to get through the day and it isnt really working, still it is a firm favourite. A soundbyte summary might be something like 'the Doors meet the Ramones' ('soul kitchen' is covered) or something, i don't know. X were an unashamedly poppy alternative to other banRAB on the LA scene, this album is irresistable. They are no slouch on the lyrics either. kenny aka sweet_nothing linked me up with 'los Angeles' last year, so props and stuffff

best songs: 'The World's A Mess; It's In My Kiss', 'You're Phone's Off the Hook, But You're Not'

I never realized how incredible the bass is on this album, among other things. It's a lot more rock and roll than usual.

I was really surprised at how much I liked this album. Everything was so jazzy and soulful, mixed with her beautiful voice, it's a new favorite.

Out of everything that's come out recently, nothing has matched the way I feel about this album.

Adam F - Colours

Some random d'n'b album I've had on the hard drive since forever yet not actually listened to 'til now. Great album, killer beats, the vocals work really well where they're opted for as well - it all just fits together seamlessly. I definitely need more of this kinda thing.
