Albums You're Digging II

Absolutely love this album, first listened to it back in August and it's been in rotation since. Haven't given Sky Valley a listen yet since I'd like to get it in FLAC, but I might just cave.

Dog Fashion Disco - Erotic Massage

Damn, I forgot how much I love these guys. Ska meets metal? Heeeeells yeah. Crazy record.

Oh, and if you really want to see a bigger image, feel free to skim the zillion pages of porn before you find a bigger size.

Some of the most beautiful stuff I've heard in quite some time

I'm honestly not sure what album would I recommend to a Sonic Youth noob. My introduction to them was EVOL and I ended up being a huge fan. Maybe Daydream Nation is a good starting point, 'cause not only is it a great album (one of their very best), it also ties together their early deconstructive phase to their more rock oriented one.

Iv'e checked out all their albums in bits and pieces. I think besides Alopecia I think i'm diggin' into Oaklanazulasylum the most. I think Elephant Eyelash has to grow on me a bit.

Fair To Midland "The Carbon Copy Silver Lining"

Not as sophisticated or consistant as their newest, but man is it packed with wild energy.

Solid, epic album from start to finish. Has a nice technical aspect that's absent from most post-rock.

Dog Fashion Disco "Experiments In Alchemy"

I love their humor and use of many different styles.

Well for Phil Collins era Genesis I do think that they made some banal pop rock, however there were a few great songs too:

Home By The Sea/Second Home By The Sea
Mama
Domino
The Brazilian.
