giving it another spin and just taking it all in, from the lyrics and beats to the overall feel and message of the songs

Green Day-21st Century Breakdown

not their best effort but still a very solid album and something that i'll be listening to again pretty soon

and

Clutch-Pure Rock Fury

possibly my favorite album from my favorite band

Tonight I have been digging two albums in particular...

After Everything No This - The Church
Swoon - Silversun Pickups

Both are completely ace albums that I love very muchly!

Verryyyyy good 333, that was one of my favorite albums of 2008.

Today I found some truly great music, one album being "Uncanny Eyes" by The Peculiar Pretzelmen possibly one of the strangest dark cabaret and Gothic Country albums I have ever heard. So addictive and well orchestrated.

The Silk Demise - S/T
tremendously sexy darkwave/triphop. two albums free on their website, but their best stuff is in their 2 commercial albums.

Kat 010 - Natural Phenomenons
she's the keyboardist for Crown City Rockers, and has also worked with Quannum artists like Lyrics Born and Gift of Gab. album is a great soulful instrumental experience, jazzy and worldly.

Slint- Spiderland
Pretty hard to explain, but its essentially slightly atmospheric math rock that freaks out some times. The singer really only sings like twice on the whole album and talks the rest of the time.
BEST SONGS: Good Morning Captain, Breadcrurab Trail, Washer

Signal to Trust- Golden Armour
Alternative, but with some definite math influences. The singer of this band also talk sings, but its leaning toward the singing side. The majority of their songs are about superheroes. Its pretty sick.
BEST SONGS: Horse Thief, Golden, Now The Mouse is Freezing, The Herald

GZA- Liquid SworRAB
Some fat beats from the brains behind the Wu-Tang clan. Enough said. Its good. The intros are durab though.
BEST SONGS: Shadowboxin', Duel of the Iron Mic, Liquid SworRAB

El-P- I'll Sleep When You're Dead
A crazy white guy who raps and owns the Def Jux label. His beats are super deep and the album almost feels like a rock album, but it clearly isnt. The first time I heard it, I didnt like it, but it grows on you.
BEST SONGS: Drive, Up All Night, Run the Nurabers

Boris- Pink
Fuzzed out japanese rock, which is sometimes gently fuzzy, or super aggressive fuzzy.
BEST SONGS: Farewell, Pink, My Machine, Just Abandoned Myself

Hella- Hold Your Horse Is
Instrumental math rock consisting of only a guitarist and drummer ( though they later got a singer and bassist). They are really technically proficient, and I enjoy listening to them (Im digging it) but a lot of my frienRAB don't. I don't think it is possible for everyone to appreciate this band. PS if you like ridiculously good drummers, this is the band for you.
BEST SONGS: Biblical Violence, Cafeteria Bananas, 1-800-GHOST-DANCE

I was obsessed with this like every other 5th grader around the time it came out, and now listening to it again, it's still the same catchy, powerful, mindless fun it was back then.

Can't find the sleeve pic anywhere, so this'll have to do.

It's a bootleg I found of Midnight Oil at Ronnie Scott's in London, June 23 1993. Gotta say, they were a f*cking awesome live act.

Piper-At-The-Gates-Of-Dawn_Pink-Floyd,images_big,23,5039232.jpg

The kick-arse 3-disc re-release to replace my dodgy old copy of it.

No problem. I am into a large amount of metal so if you ever need any suggestions drop a message on my profile or whatever and I'll send you some banRAB.

If you're not a big metal listener you might not dig the Gris, I know when I was getting into metal I probably wouldn't have. You might though, who knows. haha.
