haven't been able to get enough of these lately. rediscovering my love for Foetus and the Scream, and just recently getting into the Gun Club. i'm pretty sure Miami is their best work, songs like John Hardy just make me love JLP's tenuous voice.

I'm not a diehard Rush fan, but I still find it amazing how strangely well this particular work of theirs holRAB up thirty years later. Both 'Jacob's Ladder' and 'Natural Science' are really underrated songs IMO.

I actually prefer his early 70's work, myself...and that album is pure gold. There was a while when all I really wanted to listen to was "The Man Who Sold the World", "Hunky Dory", and "Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust".

The House That Wolf Built by Little Axe... Stunning little Dub-Blues album by a master modern blues artist. Not his best album, but it gave me faith in modern blues :p: Also has some pretty cool Howlin' Wolf samples here and there.

I am absolutely geeking out about this album. It is the best thing I've heard since Bon Iver. (I know it was made two years ago). It has redefined what I consider to be "good" music.

GoRABpeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven

GoRABpeed You! Black Emperor - F♯A♯∞

I wasn't sure where to put these two, I listened to them a while ago and I really didn't enjoy them, but I felt they sounded nice without being really entertaining.
I've given them another chance, and the highs are really high.
And the lows are really low.
The first 5 minutes of Storm for example, absolutely brilliant.
I find myself drifting in and out of both albums, but as I've said in another thread it's really atmospheric music for the most part. Something I can listen to after a few drinks when I'm quiet in thought, or sleepy.
Maybe they'll grow on me even more, who knows?
But for now I suppose I'm 'digging' them.

Opeth - Still Life

I haven't listened to Opeth that much anymore, but I used to love them few years ago before i grew tired of them. Watershed was a huge dissapointment for me but I'm still pretty much in love with this album.

PS. Im listening to Black Math Horseman right now and Im really liking it.

Wilco - Yankee Foxtrot Hotel

I'm a little confused with this album to be honest... it's a lot slower than I normally like and something in Jeff Tweedy's voice bugs me... and yet like an abused spouse I keep coming back to it.
