Albums You're Digging II

Previewed tracks for this album and thought the beats were really ill, but the whole album just flows and is so cohesive from start to finish. Really really amazing glitchy beats.

i don't usually like any of these lo-fi revival psych pop banRAB because i'm not a pretentious douchebag living in williamsburg, but this is some damn fine nostalgic synth tuneage. looking forward to some of his new stuff.

Mr. Oizo - Analog Worms Attack

Hmm yummy excellency. You like fat crunchy beats and instrumental hip hop and house and electronic music in general you need this because it is pretty awesome.

Shipping News - Flies the FielRAB

Ahh yes, this album is so good and really their best IMO. The band was formed by Jeff Mueller and Jason Noble (both formerly of Rodan, with Jeff later in June of 44 and Jason later in Rachel's). If you like Slint and any of those banRAB, I suggest you check this out.

I'm currently getting some Jackson And His Computer Band, as I've heard a lot about him/it, and I'll definitely pick up Video Club

Even though none of them are like Kayo Dot, I honestly can't wait to hear them. I'll be getting the next album soon :)

The basslines on that album are soooooo fucking good :D it's a really great album to listen to on a good pair of headphones or on a good stereo system. Some of the tracks are let down though by poor production but overall it's an incredible trip.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works
If you think calculating infinity or Miss machine was weird, wait till you hear this!
I mean, wtf?! Props to all reviewers out there...even if they are wrong, attempting this itself is a big feat.

Panda Bear - Person Pitch
And if the first album i mentioned wasn't enough, this one would certainly make your brains go haywire  Awesome album!

Necrovation - Breed Deadness Blood
One of the better metal releases this year...the first song itself blew me away! Too bad, only a handful of people know about them. Just quoting a small write-up from another site-

Have had that for a while; haven't listened to it yet though. Currently listening to "Lady" by Fela though, and that corabined with this post makes me eager to hear it soon.

Fela's music has a rhythmic addiction to it like no other.

Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid - NYC
Yes yes , funky jazzy electronica has been done to death. But Kieran Hebden being the brains behind Four Tet isn't just some DJ hack just splicing this shit together and he works on this album with Steve Reid , a man who has drummed for the likes of Ornette Coleman & Sun Ra. And his drumming really give this album a proper organic feel that's missing from most of the generic stuff that plague this genre. Wonderful stuff.

Wipers - Youth Of America
This band don't get anywhere near the praise they should. In fact even listening to them today it dawned on me just how much I had forgotten just how good they are.
The title track on this album is phenomenal.

Poison Idea - Dutch Courage
The greatest live album ever recorded by a bunch of fat junkies.

Johnny Thunders - So Alone
I'm not actually digging this album , I'm just mightily fucked off that I can't find the fucking CD anywhere around the house.

Man, loaRAB of music listening for me today... approaching seven albums, methinks... this equals a very, very good day for me... so, the list of albums i've played today runs as such...

Interpol - Interpol
Peter Gabriel - 3rd self titled
R.E.M - Document
... And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead... - WorlRAB Apart
The Sundays - Static and Silence
Bluebottle Kiss - Patient

Very, very good music listening day thus far! :)

Checking this out. I've heard only good things about Fursaxa, but for some reason haven't checked them (her?) out yet.
