Never got too into Bad Religion, but Static Age and Punk in Drublic are awesome. Haven't heard any of the newer NOFX ones though. Come to think of it, I Heard They Suck Live! is the most recent one I've heard.
Ever get in one of those mooRAB when you can't be bothered with any of that fancy shit and just wanna listen to something you can play ridiculously loud and piss your nearest neighbours off with it? This is pretty much the album for that.
Steve Marriot = one of the most underrated frontmen ever.
I'm definitely going to check this out but now I'm going to have a very biased opinion because you said it's better than no wave But we'll see... I have to give credit to San Francisco in the 70's as it does have The Screamers.
I've listening to this a handful of times now. I wasn't too impressed with them after listening to Coolin' Off, but Crazyhorse Mongoose was a perfect transition into this album. They are New Orleans Jazz with a bit of hip-hop and loaRAB of funk.
I've been listening to Deerhunter's Halcyon Digest which I've already talked about a lot recently. Also Ryan Adams' Cold Roses. I hated Adams for the longest time and thought he was boring, but after getting way into in the past 2 months my opinions totally changed. His love of 80s hardcore, garage rock and KISS still shine through, whilst at the same time he emulates and kicks Gram Parsons' ass. I also picked up Chromeo's new album and have been listening to a lot of Sam Cooke, Nas, Mariah Carey and Led Zeppelin lately. Oh and Agalloch's White EP which I have one of the copies of I think it's in the top 10 EPs ever made.
There's nothing like mixing Eastern European music with folk and pop. It's one of those albums that are instantly accessible on the first listen and just get better and better.
I actually just realized that this was the Albums Youre Digging topic and not Last Downloaded.. damn I'm an idiot. It's Richard Skelton's Landings. I suggest checking out all of his work
And why do I post? I dunno! Maybe just to find out if anyone is interested in weirdness like I am. I think you were the first person to ask what I posted in awhile. Maybe if I posted more info like why I think it's awesome then people may be more interested.
Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros- Up From Below
I constantly find myself throughout the day singing "boo-bop-boo-bop-bop-ba-da-ba-da-ba" from their song 'Janglin'. It's actually so catchyyy. I reccomend this entire album to EVERYONE. It's one of my new faves and it's so relaxing. Go get it.
