I gave these two albums a spin today, haven't listened to them in a while

Yeah, I loooooved High Hopes and Wearing The Inside Out, but my favorites were probably What Do You Want From Me and Polls Apart. They take me back, definitely. I went to Seattle back when I was thirteen or fourteen to get tests done on my brain and that was pretty much the only cd I listened to, so rediscovering it really brought back memories. Haha.

I never really started listening to them and this album just grabbed my attention.

Daydream Nation- Sonic Youth

This is my favorite Sonic Youth album. Soooo amazing.

I was basically forced to listen to this album but it turned out to be surprisingly good. I'm looking forward to get more music by Say Anything.

I've spent so much time on their newest album I forgot how great their debut was. Now I remeraber...
 
I usually listen to different kinRAB of post-rock depending on what time of year it is. For example GY!BE is great for rainy autumns. In the summer I like to listen to Ef alot. Somehow it has a summery feeling that I like. Since I live in Finland winter is really dark here and alot of snow too so I usually listen to some depressing or darker stuff. Bohren & der Club of Gore works for me every winter.

ps. Im listening to Lift Your Skinny Fists right now. Loving every minute of it
 
It's definitely taken a little time, but I think I cracked the shell of Doves Kingdom of Rust album, and I'm really getting into it big... I forgot how much alot of their music is the gorwing onyou kind... but once it does grow on you, its an eternal delight.

Sarena Maneesh - Sarena Maneesh 2: Abyss in B Minor

Not the best shoegaze album I've ever heard, but definitely warrants a listen only because they expand a bit more than most shoegaze banRAB do. Instead of just nonstop fuzz in your face or reverb drenched clean guitars, they actually have a wide range of sonic textures. These guys will do great things, I am sure. This album alone has some great moments.

Dabrye - two/three and one/three

Normally given some ****ty description like 'Future Hop' (Though I can see where they're coming from) they're both pretty great albums all the same. 2/3 utilises a lot of emcees, 1/3 is more instrumental. Both got some pretty great moments either way.

Pink Fairies - Kings of Oblivion (1973)

Awesome '70s guitar-driven rock channeling glam rock and proto-punk into a tight package, commandeered by the former Deviants frontman. Comparisons to the Damned are inevitable (though this predates their existence by some four years), it's really eerie how similar the two sound. Definitely a keeper.

The Comsat Angels - Sleep No More (1981)

Somewhat dated production, but the songs are fantastic, easily besting contemporaries such as the Sound & Magazine. Superbly crafted atmospheres yield a potential few singles, shame this album never seemed to garner that much attention. In particular "Eye Dance" is well worth a listen.

Before banRAB such as Evanesence and Lacuna Coil were hitting it big, the real deal was already there and better. Superb Female led atmospheric Metal:

also checkout Arabeon for similar yet a little more folk influenced sound. Both banRAB were Dutch.
