Albums You're Digging II

Ahh yes! Great album. I had found Uyama Hiroto first and found Nujabes through him. Their sound is quite similar so if you haven't heard anything from Uyama, you need to! It's such a shame Nujabes passed away so young :( Very sad. I'm not sure if you listen to very much Downtempo/Electro Acoustic but I find it to be similar to smooth Hip Hop except maybe more chilled.

Bob Dylan - Good As I Been To You

RE my Dylan binge of late, this here's one of his 90s album of traditional folk covers, and it's nowhere near as dull as I thought it'd be. I'd even go as far as saying it's quite a good album. Wonderful guitar-work throughout. I love getting the odd musical pleasant surprise like this every now and then.

Aight, I'm postin' it:

Just... **** yes. Bought the night we went to Borders and blew $200 on CRAB and Bukowski. Listened to it playing carRAB until midnight, then I came home and listened to it again, and again. I think it's still in my CD/record/tape player, actually.

Peruvian Cocaine

....but it's not as good as Lost Souls, that album is in my top 10 of all time. a masterpiece. Doves will never be able recreate that magic.

however, Kingdom Of Rust is better than Some Cities. it is a better than average record.

Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

Spent half the day at the BMV, and I spent the whole time listening to Strawberry Jam. Peacebone is by far my favorite song off of this album. SJ is like the alternative to alternative music.

Demonic Death Judge - Kneel (2010)

Finnish stoner/sludge metal group I downloaded off a whim yesterday. Easily one of the best of of the year, just raw, catchy, heavy, and good, reminRAB you that sometimes it's good to be dirty.

Bandits_Of_The_Acoustic_Revolution-A_Call_To_Arms_EP-2001-FST.jpg

Some awesome acoustic ska with swing overtones, I really can't believe it took me that long to get into it. My quest for the night is to find more than just an EP.

Edit: My quest ended in failure as that is in fact the only album they have out currently, sad sad days :(

Her new stuff is a lot less scratchy I think, it's more personal and I feel quite separated from the Cranberries. I recommending checking this album out, and she has a new one due to be released soon. :)

P.s. got to love Zorabie though. "In you're heaaaad, in you're heaead, zorabie, zorabie, zorabie eh eh eh eh!!!"

Zeni Geva - 10,000 Light Years

Some interesting japanese metal with noise-rock influences. Theres some brilliant jams here, particularly on Blastsphere. A bit like a metal version of the Melvins? No idea really.
