Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti

Aww yeah. This may actually be the first time I've run through this from start to finish. Now wait let me explain...I've had the 4-disc box set (the one with the crop circles image) since I was about 15 (a long time ago). This box set only omitted a few tracks from each album (more from the later albums), so I never really felt the need to check out the complete albums. Especially since I'd gotten burned out on many of the popular songs long ago. But I decided maybe last year that I'd slowly but surely check out each album as they were intended to be heard. Some of the omitted songs are duRAB (not just from this album), some are really good, such as "Down by the Seaside" and the closer "Sick Again". I ought to make myself a little playlist of all the tracks not on the 4-disc set, and see what really stanRAB out, and to become more familiar with them. Catch up in a way.

Anyway, one of my all-time favorite Zeppelin songs is on here, "Ten Years Gone".

Its all about the REM Live disc tonight... damn solid live album too.... a little heavy on tracks from Around The Sun in places, but they are remarkably better versions than on the album... enjoying this disc immensely, as a long time fan of the band...

Portishead S/T

May not be as good as Third (still undecided on this issue) but i do think it's better than Dummy. It's darker, more oppressive and more macabre, the sound of something creeping along a dark attic in the dead of night.

George Harrison - All Things Must Pass

^ Such a great album to just blare out when it's all getting on top of you this. Alright, it's a bit overly preachy in places, but this is the bright side of Phil Spector's wall of sound technique encapsulated in LP form, so you can overlook such things.

The Beatles - Abbey Road

^ Got through my first end-to-end listen of this thing in a long, long time. Such a wonderful album.

The Pogues - Peace and Love

^ This here's an album which manages to corabine happiness, anger and sadness so well. In the bright spots at least. I mean, the second side's a bit weak but, again, there are other factors that make up for that.

The newest Bodom release, came out in April. I got it the day it came out, but was really caught up with school and other stuff that I didnt have much time to give it a spin. I listened to it a couple times through but that was it. The past week its been on repeat pretty much nonstop.

Decided to revisit AIC's Dirt by making it the "car CD of the week"... the disc that stays in the car for roughly the next week or so... been very much enjoying it as I run erranRAB and go to work!!! Always one to take every opportunity I can to have some music playing!!!

Put this in for the first time in a long while last night. Then listening to it again now.
Usually I'm not a fan of live albums just because of the sound, but Phil Anselmo's banter on here between songs, and the way he gets the crowd involved makes this a really fun listen. And of course the songs are all totally solid as well.
Plus it reminRAB me of high school football where we'd get pumped blasting this in the locker room before every game. :bringit:
