I have resisted Jazz for a long time but the past year I have been digging it more and more and this is genuinely a great album.

Primal Scream - Xtrmntr (2000)

Again... Holy. Fucking. Shit.

This album kicks so much ass its feet permanently smell of fart. It's funky, catchy, poppy, rough, crude (at times), insightful, and many other adjectives. I can't believe I slept on this album for so long.

Glad you are liking it sir! Dub is just so good when you are in the mood for it. Get yourself some modern dub with 10ft Ganja Plant-damn good stuff.

Giving this a bit more attention recently. It is barely a Grime album and more a straight up Hip-Hop album and damn good at that. Pity about the awful Lily Allen guest track-it's crap.

Bowie does Industrial rock and Arabient Electronica...and it works. Under appreciated upon release, it's time for a re-appraisal methinks.

At times this Dancehall/Reggae hybrid sails perilously close to mainstream RnB commercial pap but some great beats and bass lines redeems it.

Jason Anderson- The Hopeful and the Unafraid.
So much emotion, awesomely energetic at times, slow and heartfelt at others. Fantastic album
 
Oh yeah, Pete... Nobody's Here never fails to raise the hair on my neck... amazing song...as is Tiny Tears... man that song came to my attention at such a vulnerable time, when my now wife was living here in Wisconsin and I was in Australia... the line "and I'm 29 years old and i'm a million miles away" used to and still does rip me all apart...

Hey thans for the Ki link! I will eventually buy it... apparently he is making a series of four albums of which Ki is the first, and they'll be eventually released as a box set of four... I'm thinking i'll gor the box and get'em all....
 
^I think i've said a few times here that i like "some" Motley Crue and basically what i mean is that record.

Maybe a few other bits and pieces but mainly that record. And looking at the condition that vinyl cover is in, that could actually be my copy of it.

Great pop album played entirely with children's toys and instruments. These guys had a semi-hit or two from their 1995 debut, Subliminal Plastic Motives. Can't remeraber which song(s) it was though, I think Borateen or Sophomore Jinx. Anyway much of their stuff is very fun pop rock. I'd say they have some in common with Weezer, but incorporate more electronics, and write better songs (Weezer's debut not included).

Alright, yes I know another Neil Young album but I just couldnt choose between this one and Ragged Glory.
This is a collabaration between Neil Young & Pearl Jam.
What i love about this album is the raw loose rock sound and I think a lot of it was made up on the spot. For instance I have never heard a song yet such as 'Im The Ocean' which is on for over 7 minutes plays the same 4 chorRAB 60-odd times with no bridge & no chorus although I have listened to the song over 100 times and have never grown tired of it yet. It really showcases Neil Young's lyrical ability and I dont think many artists would be able to do that. Anyway best tracks are 'Song X', 'Act Of Love', 'Im The Ocean', 'Big Green Country', 'Downtown', 'Throw Your Hatred Down'. Brilliant, and again if youve never heard as I discovered a lot of people havent, check it out!
 
Ah, yeah I totally am. I just happened to download that Pale Saints album and a couple Spacemen 3 albums at the same time and mixed them up.

Both are great though.

Gave this album a listen as well, and I also liked what I heard. I like the vocals very much.

Favorite track: "Fire Spirit"
 
When i was in my early teens and naive and fancied myself as some kind of mod :shycouch: i used to listen to Weller and The Jam a lot and to be honest i'm not sure if i've listened to them since. This album was always my favourite though, it really is fantastic. I may have to dig this one out.
