Albums You're Digging II

Did you just say ****e for dramatic effect? I do that too. :D It's a brilliant album, didn't 'get it' at first, once it sunk in I loved it. What don't you like about it? I could listen to it every day, to be honest, I probably do..

Lucinda Williams - West

True to form in this part of the country, it's grim, grey skies and all-round a pretty miserable-looking day, and this album goes so well with it. Such a soothing, gentle vibe to the whole thing, and one of the all-time favs for sure.

Nurse With Wound - Soliloquy for Lilith
Arabient, dark, kinda minimalistic stuff with each track being 17-minutes long! Must be in the mood for this, but once you do get in, it just goes on for like hours.

Supersilent - 6
I'm not sure what to describe this as. Weird sounRABcapes mixed with a bit of Jazz. Somewhat noisy at times, and it just becomes quiet all of a sudden. Quite haunting.

It's a beautiful album. I have yet to decide on a third, because I don't own all of his albums including some famous ones, and I really need to give him some more listening time.

they've been reformed for ages, the full line-up! been touring all over, talk of new material, blah di blah. as long as they play 'the gentle of art making enemies' i am satiated

this is from their first album , 1978. I literally caked when i first heard this, it accounts for most of what is worth living for: LEFTFIELD POP. In fact the caking never stopped tbh, thus sharidge. *reaches for battenburg*

Ahh i do like Jeff Buckley's cover and the way it ties back into Hallelujah, beautiful. I forget the name of the band but there's quite a nice cover of Please Please Please at the end of This Is England. Apart from them i'm struggling.

Clark - Totems Flare

I've had this since it came out last year, I just happen to be digging it right now. I wasn't sure how to feel about it at first, as the vocals were something new for him. Musically there were stellar moments, but the vocals distracted. Luckily they're not on each track. The more I listen to it though the more I just realize it's just a damn fun record, and I shouldn't take it too seriously. It wins. I just hope he doesn't increase the amount of vocals on the next record. I can tolerate this amount even if I prefer it mostly instrumental. Truth is at times it sounRAB like nothing more than a vocal sample, which I've always been a fan of. It's not like he's crooning or something.

And while mastered a bit on the loud side, the production is pretty damn nice.
