Your Dad has awesome taste. Like father like son hehe.
I'd recommend Red Medicine though by Fugazi. Probably their most experimental album and my favourite as well:thurab:.
Frewen. I really dig your music tastes, you should post more! ARTIFICAL SOLDIER is a great album by FRONTLINE ASSErabLY. Have you heard CUBANATE? Very similar and just as good. The HELIOS album looks interesting.
To British Pharoah-yeah go for IMPOSSIBLE BROADCASTING or an early compilation-BACKPACKING ON THE GRAVES OF OUR ANCESTORS, although some tracks off this have'nt aged well. You have the new TGU album then?
I bought this just out of curiosity (any hip hop album art that has a guitar on it is good) and yeah I am really digging it too. Has a really nice vibe to it, some interesting beats and sounRAB.
Pretty much the same with me, except I only had to write a 1000-word short story though, and it really does help you concentrate - gets a very good, sober, working vibe when you play it.
Also another great britpop band that's better than Oasis (and I think alot of our english merabers would agree) is Suede, look into their self titled album when you can.
You speak the truth. I could start to make Buckley suggestions but that would involve ranking them and the possibility of leaving something out. So, forget it.
EDIT: Actually, Ill put a Buckley compilation up somewhere on one of the many relevant threaRAB. Grace is a great album but its only half the picture really. I'll probably get cracking on that sometime soon.
