Albums You're Digging II

Possible Past is the one that gives me the goosepimples.

"Stepping up boldly one put out his hand!" oh my oh my...lol

I forgot two more albums!

Tommy - The Who

My math teacher was giving away all the CRAB he didn't want. Now I was a budding Who fan at the time and jumped at the chance of owning the Who's masterpiece for free - and I'm glad I did.

Great, great album.

Favorite Song: Christmas

Relayer - Yes

My. Favorite. Album. Ever.

Yes came on the radio and my dad looked at me and said, "You like Rush and The Who and all those 70's banRAB, why aren't you into Yes?" and I thought, hey, I'll check them out and proceeded to buy this album...

Wow.

Gates of Delirium is...worRAB can't describe. I love this album.

Favorite Song: Gates of Delirium

You Stole the Sun is such a fun song, a great pick-me-up. I like blasting it in my car on the way to work sometimes. And of course She's a Weapon in awesome too. Smash it Up was the first song I ever heard from them that I really liked though.

Tonight's digging...

Isis - Panopticon... some brilliant soft /loud dynamics and just a great BIG sound, coupled with epic tunes, most of which were seven or more minutes length... freaking awesome!

Blur - Parklife.... arguably some of Blur's best work... tuneful, interesting, varied... pretty damn solid album.

There has been talk of them getting back together all year. I could have sworn there was a discussion about this in the Mr. Bungle thread. Anyway, here's a link. And yes, I think Patton is in.

yeah it was Antenna for me aswell, only got round to checking out their other stuff last year. You should give 'Jupiter' a try, it's considered to be their magnum opus, although it annoys the metalcore purists that they decided to go for decipherable lyrics

New Order - Get Ready

I love this album so much. Another one of the first albums I got that I still listen to today - this being around the time of its release in 2000/2001. Sure, it's not the New Order we all know and love, what with the guitar-heavy sound and that, but the songwriting is straight out of the top-drawer here, especially regarding songs like this one...

edit - Just thought that I've had this album about ten years now. Man I feel old!
