lol shall check it out then... it's funny i got started with Miles on Bitches Brew so it gave me a taste for jazz fusion; consequently found it difficult to get into 'best jazz LP of all time'; Kind Of Blue... then came Sun. We need to get some lists going in the jazz forum.

Just played these 2 Pixies classics. Aww yeah. I played PJ Harvey's Dry again before that and I'm really liking it. It may be the album I enjoy most by her (having not heard a couple still).

Hmm, I actually like the second half a lot more than the first. To me it's a really slow start...I don't dig the opener, and the second song is really long and annoying to me, I just want it to be over. It gets better after that for me.

Classic first-wave Jamaican ska/rocksteady. Beautiful
Justin HinRAB - LIVE at Grassroots Backed by John Brown's Body
Take one 60's Jamaican ska legend, back him with one of contemorary reggae's (and Ithaca NY's) finest roots reggae band, and throw them in what was, at the time, basically my backyard in upstate NY for one night only, and you have one hell of a live performance, and one hell of an album. This performance was in the summer of 02', 3 years prior to HinRAB passing away in 05'
Black Uhuru - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
A must have classic reggae album. What else can be said?
Junior Murvin - Police and Thieves
An album originally recorded under the auspices of Lee "scratch" Perry in his Black Ark Studio. Both the producers trademark sound and Murvin's unique falsetto shine through. Yet another classic.

I know what you said in your original post, I was mostly replying because Robert_Arctor was arguing the hardcore-ness, even though you said post-hardcore. 
They have a pretty corporate/lite post-hardcore sound for the most part. There's definitely much more aggressive post-hardcore out there. Not arguing anything, just stating my personal interpretation of their sound.

Red Garland - Red Garland's Piano
A simple, soulful, and very bluesy piano jazz album. Some great standarRAB from one of jazz's best and most legendary players . Iv'e been fishin' for a good blues oriented jazz piano trio for quite a while. I'm glad I found this.
Ugly Casanova - Sharpen Your Teeth
Boy (Edgar Graham aka Ugly Casanova) meets band (Modest Mouse), boy follows band around on tour and writes an album in the process, boy disappears off the face of the planet leaving band, namely Isaac Brock, to record the album in hopes of luring the boy out of the perilous void. It didn't work, but the album is stellar.
Simon & Garfunkel - The sound of Silence
Well Ya' Know, cuz' like I'm gettin' old n' shit.
