Albums You're Digging II

I am madly enjoying some Pulp right now, i've always sort of neglected them but they sneak up on you.

I know that it's a picture that Michael Stipe took during the Monster tour, but I'm not sure where he took it.

Today I'm really liking these albums:

Reckoning - REM

I think this album is a gem that just lurked in the shadows of Murmur. There are so many great songs on here like: Harborcoat, Pretty Persuasion, and Time After Time.

Classic Queen! I can play this one all day :D

freaking fantastic album, the use of samples at certain points is mindblowing, and the Beastie Boys have shown how cohesive they are, albeit not that great lyrically.

Dug out a bunch of old CRAB & came across this.
Reminded me of the days when I was a sexually confused 13 year old with no taste and this felt like the coolest album in the world.

Happy days.

I got that album around the time it came out as well, i saw the video for Modern Way Of Letting Go on Kerrang! and thought it was awesome at the time. They've never released a bad album as such but this album and 100 Broken Windows are by far their best albums.

Hey new here. This is my first post. Gotta get some sigs and stuff for myself. Here are a list of banRAB im currently into at the moment

Emery - '...in shallow seas we sail'
Jars of Clay - 'the long fall back to earth'
One Republic - 'waking up'

Silversun Pickups, never been able to really get into them. Which is odd because they're the type of band I should like.

Swoon started really well, then I just usually get bored/distracted.

I'll revisit it soon though. Is Carnavas better than Swoon? Not bothered with that one yet.

Primal Scream - Give Out But Don't Give Up

Some of it's pretty lame, but it's worth it for the 4 or 5 brilliant songs on it. Well worth the fuss of getting it for this alone if you ask me...

Can't believe I waited so long to listen to this..Amazing album. Really great laid back production from Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth provides quality raps. Highly recommended to fans of 90's rap such as A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, and the Jungle Brothers.

For years Ive thought this band was terrible, but I decided to give this album another listen the other day and now I really like it. Much, much better than I originally thought. Highly recommended.

Its the same case with this band as The Hold Steady. When I saw this leaked I decided to try it out and Im definitely enjoying it. The vocals can get a little grating but you have to love the instrumental parts and and lyrics in songs like Twist and Shout and The Replacements (about the band).

I know I started listening to them with this album (and that it's much more known in the mainstream) but I still think it's a good album. I only wish I'd heard of them sooner, through a less accessible album too I guess.

Yeah, I was expecting much more lively, virtuoso stuff like the other piano composers I've heard. Can see how listening to this all day can drag on, but fortunately even the compilation I've got's a fairly small dose - looking at the running time of each track, it can't be any longer than an hour in total (which funnily enough's another thing that surprised me about the guy).

Either way, I'm having one of those nights when I don't really know what I feel like listening to, and Satie's great for that kinda situation.
