Really? I thought that album was rather shmeh for the Hives, and I already think the Hives themselves are rather shmeh.

Favorite QOTSA album. Can't stop listening to Someone's in the Wolf, Killer Scene, and Everybody knows

Not really digging it but my seven year old is inflicting Hanna Montana on me right now... oh the pain! But I love the little girl to pieces, so sometimes that'll make you tolerate anything!

The Telescopes - Taste
What an incredibly mind-blowing album. This album corabines the noise and feedback of J&MC and the spaciness of Spacemen 3 with the intensity and snarl of punk rock. Brilliant stuff.

A Silver Mt. Zion - Horses in the Sky
Great, atmospheric, great to have playing in the background.
Fav Songs: Teddy Rosevelt's Guns, Horses in the Sky and Ring them bells

Kings of Leon - Because of the Times
Catchy, fun, love the vibe
Fav Songs: Arizona, Fans, True Love Way, Ragoo, Charmer, Knocked Up

Daisy Chainsaw - Eleventeen
I officially declare this my favourite album EVER. Fronted by KatieJane Garside, this album is: Manic, disturbing, insane, makesyouwannajumparound. It's a pity KatieJane left after this album.
Fav Songs: Love your Money, Lovely Ugly Brutal World, Hope your Dreams Come True, I feel Insane, Waiting for the Wolves.

Syd! Isn't it be good to be lost in the wooRAB?
Send in the ClouRAB!
Caveman ugly.

I burst out laughing at that 'Magic Position' sleeve, he seems to click with the younger generation

Actually that's not a complete version of the song. On the album I bought (yes I actually bought it) it runs at about 6 minutes and 23 seconRAB. Regardless I think he's like DJ Shadow and uses oodles of samples so it's really hard to track down everything he's ever used. Still it's an amazing CD that I would totally recommend.

Garage Days - Metallica

How I love this album..I love Metallica's covers. And I am even covering it myself. haha..cover of a cover.. :D I am easily amused.

i haven't heard that...i'll have to check it out. thanks for the rec!

i wouldn't be able to compare since i've never heard sufjan stevens...but i do agree that it would be hard imagining anyone coming close to elliott smith. i'm not sure if i agree with your opinion on his studio days...figure 8 was weak, sure...but xo was amazing to me. i honestly can't count from a basement on a hill since it was finished up by other people...and according to many people close to elliott he would not have approved of the finished product. so...one weak album...i can deal with that.

Man! I haven't thought about them in a while. This is kinda making me want to dig up that album or Echolalia.

For now, relaxing with an old friend:
