Albums You're Digging II

Yeah, I'll start to feel bad for downloading a ton of music online but when I buy tickets for shows and am completely fucked out the ass by live nation service charges suddenly a download here and there doesn't seem so terrible.

Listened to two really great albums last night... namely Echolalia by Something for Kate and Cold Feeling by The Underground Lovers... the latter is unfortunately no longer in existence, although they were amazing while they existed...

Something for Kate are still a going concern and I expect to hear something or other new from them in the not too distant future...

Got this from my buddy Jackhammer...I like to think of it as electronic-indie-blues-folk. I'm loving it so far. Favorite songs are 'Sort of Revolution' and 'Move on Me'...check it.

A lame duet (in the guise of I Never Talk To Strangers) aside, this is actually another very good early Waits album. A Sight For Sore Eyes is such a gorgeous little song too.

And I'll be cranking this again in a bit... again. Here's one of many songs off it I'll never get sick of...

Electric Warrior - T.Rex

I just heard this album for the first time the other day and my goodness, it was perfect. i've been listening to it over and over again since then, but i'm about to stop because the last thing i want to do is to get over it.

OK Computer - Radiohead

I got this on a strong recommendation from a mate of mine and, admittedly, at first i wasn't to fussed on it. but i've been listening to it hear and there and it's really starting to grow on me, like an acquired taste for fine wine.

But on the albums you're digging topic...

Alkaline Trio - Goddamnit

A blast from the past, this one takes me back to middle school. That was a long time ago (relatively speaking). Lots of memories... Haven't listened in a while.

Jonny Trunk - The Inside Outside

This guy owns a record label that reissues old obscure albums, didn't really like much of the stuff on it but this album thathe made himself from old samples is the ****.

Lucky! I really want to see them. They should do another big tour in The States. Just got into them fairly recently while they were wrapping up their recent States tour.

But yes, it is very amazing. Was blown away from first listen.

They just released a new compilation with a few more songs than that. There are a couple demo versions and 4 new songs. They had such a short career, but really had more influence than people know. These guys really got shoegaze kickstarted.

I've been using blogs to get the cool stuff for a few years now and not run into any trouble, which either means my firewall's amazing or I'm due for picking up something really nasty somewhere down the line, like my monitor re-enacting that bit from Poltergeist or whatever...

Totally man, he's still got the ferocity of Physicist but with the melodic nature of Infinity. "Nobody's Here" is probably my favourite Townsend song of all time, I also think the managed to give it an "earth" feel was truly amazing.

Gimme a sec then :)
Don't expect to like it though...I'm just a weirdo who likes this kinda stuff :p:. The translation, well, I'll just post whatever I've found so far.

No album has honestly moved me like this one has. I waited far too long to buy it...
Listen from start to finish to fully appreciate it and its' VERY heavy story. Absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful.

Yeah, Walking Wounded's a decent album. You're right that it's nowhere near as good as Temperamental though, especially with the latter having neat little cuts like Five Fathoms, Low Tide Of the Night and the Future Of the Future on it.

Another Music In a Different Kitchen>>>>>>>>Love Bites [which is saying something, as it's still a pretty cool album]

There ya go :D
