Albums You're Digging II

I would say Jackson and His Computer Band and Mr. Oizo, both use a very cup-up style of production. Don't forget to pick up VHS Head's EP Video Club from last year. That's all I can think of right now, as I keep listening I might find similarities with other artists.

can you get the text from those messages you deleted and append it to the one that you didn't? i only used multiple posts as a way to split/format the multiple albums - but it was kinda a PITA to upload all the attachments and type them and such. Then you delete them because i'm not diggin' something recognizable like Led Zeppelin and you tell me I'm spamming you. Okay - I like the same albums you like, too. Do you like me now?

^ I love this album so much. Say what you like about how it all may as well be date-stamped by a certain weekend in 1985, but Small Talk is a belter of a song. Conclusive evidence that 80s pop could actually be quite good.

Thanks to the very generous Loathsome Pete (thanks mate!), I am highly enjoying these two albums:

^ I've never really been into rap but I have to admit that I did enjoy this album and it circulated in my car for several days! The only thing that irked me a little about it was her accent and I did enjoy the parts where she sung more so than the parts when she rapped. But overall, I'm impressed, and I did enjoy it!

^ Loving this album as well, after much anticipation I was not disappointed. It'll never be Mezzanine, though.

St. Vincent - Marry Me

After completely wearing out her latest album Actor, I decided to check her debut. This barely holRAB a candle to Actor, but that is really just because that album is so freaking good. This album still has some great moments. Kind of indie-poppish female singer songwriter stuff so if that sounRAB interesting and you haven't listened to her before, go with Actor first but don't neglect this one.

I just love Midnight Oil. Never got to see them live unfortunately. I heard their live shows were awesome. Their live album "Scream In Blue Live" is brilliant.

I heard of many people regarding Pete Garrett a hypocrite now he's into politics. I guess that's what happens when you go into politics with many ideals and make a lot of compromises. Maybe he should go back to music.

I got this one yesterday but didn't get around to listening to it 'til today, I've never heard ska and punk blended together this well, and it's sung in Spanish to boot.

Now quickly go and download everything else you can from him, you won't regret it, trust me. There are some live albums and comps that are definitely worth a listen.

Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient

Some darn good fun from the metal master himself! Looking forwardto hearing
where he goes next with the whole Ziltoid thing!

Yeah so this is pretty much one of the best albums of 2009. Guy Clark's voice and song writing ability is on that level of Johnny Cash.

Lol, it's really not that good. Lateralus is better by a highway mile, and it's injected with such fluff I don't think it should be called an album. The only redeeming track on Aenima is Third Eye, and well, live versions are always better (see Salival).
