Albums You're Digging II

I swear I listened to that album every day I had my weights class my senior year in high school, it kind of turned me off of it just because it was overplayed which is a shame because it's a really good album.

XBXRX - Wars

I've reacquainted myself with this beaut recently after a period of inactivity, and it sounRAB as good as when i first heard it. At times it sounRAB like you're listening to the deconstruction of music, quite a lot of it is improv which, coupled with the hardcore influences implicit in their music, results in a sound really quite menacing and brutal.

Been getting a thrash kick lately, so i decided to revisit a few classics

Testament - The Legacy
A really raw sounding thrash album. One of those albums with one great song after another great song, and Chuck Billy has such an awesome voice.

Anthrax - Among The Living
This hasn't aged much at all compared to the other Belladonna-era albums. Packed full of Scott Ian's best riRAB.

Annihilator - Alice In Hell
Some really outstanding guitar-work, also shows where a lot of modern metal banRAB stole their riRAB from.

I mean, it's kind of rude to make us do the work when you're in a thread to tell us what you're listening to.

I have signatures turned off, because they're usually obnoxious, so it's a lot of legwork to find out what you're going on about.

Brendan Perry - Ark

Just as rich, colourfully atmospheric and downright awesome as anything he did with Dead Can Dance. Easily in the mix for album of the year for me.

The Fall - Our Future, Your Clutter

Still no sign of the artwork anywhere online, but bloody hell is this album brilliant. The basslines are phenominal, and the rest of it makes for such a rowdy, garage-ey album. Easily their best album in years - what a start to the decade they've just made for themselves.

Lateduster - Easy Pieces

Hmm, lovely piece of electronic-ish post-rock. For fans of Tortoise, Pivot, and Plaid. This was a bit of an oddity on the IDM label Merck RecorRAB, but not that out of place. It's as electronic as any Tortoise album.

Helios - Eingya

A lovely piece of work blending acoustic guitar with piano and electronic touches. Recommended for fans of BoarRAB of Canada, The Album Leaf.

Front Line Asserably - Epitaph

A great album by a great industrial act, though Tactical Neural Implant still tops all.

Herbie Hanc0ck - Maiden Voyage

One of my favourite jazz albums of all time, that actually got me into that genre. Nowadays his fusion material with The Headhunters is perhaps more well known, but this record along with Empyrean Isles are just as accomplished.

Leviathan - The Tenth Sub Level of Suicide

Um, not one to listen to when sharp objects are about. I love all of Wrest's work and this is still the pinnacle imo.
