I've been on a Common craze for a bit now.
 
It's great, isnt it? Such a good chill out record, despite having some fairly intense moments. I'll always have a soft spot for Teardrop, even if it is overplayed. Angel, Dissolved Girl, Mezzanine and Risingson are favourites too, but theres not really a bad track on it.

Soul Side - Hot Bodi-gram

Mid 80s Dischord band made up of future merabers of Girls Vs Boys. Some songs are a bit punkier than what GvsB did, but other than the vocals you'd probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Blurt - Poppycock

Post punk with horns, Lots & lots of horns in fact. Imagine A Certain Ratio with a lunatic sax player and a vocalist with a John Lydon style delivery and you wouldn't be too far removed from this.

Agitation Free - Malesch

Listened to this at work today & it took me too another place. Sadly it was only my mind that was taken somewhere else, I was still stuck there all fucking day, but that's not the albums fault.

Dementia Precox - Of Parts Unknown...

Abrasive Mid 80s noise. Not quite as bad as Whitehouse or Nurse With Wound as there are some more 'rock'ish songs on here and they obviously don't take themselves too seriously (Song titles include 'Incredibly Strange Creatures who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zorabies' and also the wonderfully titled 'Phlegm'. But the high pitched whining noise on some of the tracks will have your ears begging you to turn it off.

I love this album because it's something of a throw back to 80's/90's metal. Apparently, all the merabers are quite young, but they definitely have talent. I'm just in awe and impressed by the vocals and guitar.

Great album. I haven't listened to a new Psychedelic album that took me by surprise, for so long.
And that Paint it Black cover is nothing less than mind-blowing, the purely oriental, middle-eastern guitar intro to the song was just sublime.

This album is really a grower, as his voices quirks (ie the ups and downs and the little yelps here and there) really start to sink in after 3 to 4 listens, and you can finally concentrate on the beautiful lyricism. The extra instrumentation is an amazing highlight, too. "Sweet Thing" wouldn't be the same without that amazing 'twirly' sound the woodwinRAB give off. I'm sad that I can't stand any of his other work, though.

Got this album yesterday courtesy of Bulldog, been listening to it almost none-stop since I got it. If you like dark country music, then this is a must have.

HAWKIND - SPACE RITUAL

I still need to delve deeper into HawkwinRAB back catalogue. I have heard bits of it and liked it but theres just so much stuff out there. This was one crossed off today and I'm in love with it. Double live album of space rock/psychedelic goodness.

"You have only a few seconRAB to escape.
Use those seconRAB sensibly OR YOU WILL INEVITABLY DIE!" :D

EDIT: I made the cover art bigger but come on, it deserves it.
 
Lately I've been HUGE on Goldfrapp......I don't know how I was more so indifferent before.......absolutely in love with Felt Mountain:

One of the best metal banRAB of all time in my opinion. Often associated with the NWOBHM scene, and rightfully so, but also does a great deal of Sabbath worshiping too. Its a great mix and some of the earliest Doom Metal. Releasing a full length before Saint Vitus. I assume most people here into this kind of stuff know them, but if not get on it now its must own. Also, Pagan Altar is a good comparison to this stuff.
 
Been digging Addicted by The Devin Townsend project again.... darn near perfect album for driving... it's been glued into my car stereo, almost!
