Albums You're Digging II

^^ agreed, tis a great album!

about the calling it "folk-rockish"...i definitely wouldn't solely call it that because like sidewinder said, it is very electronic too. to me, i would more so say that Bibio blended elements of both together. and boy did he ever do it well!

My favorite album right now. Awesome, refreshing dose of Thrash

I've had his 2000 release 'Bound' for a while now and always felt it was pretty boring/generic (Ergo I've never shared it). Might have to give it another spin. Though IIRC correctly Bound had a more tribal attempt at fusion.

Plenty of people like this...in fact today was one of the few times I've heard someone post negative things about it.

Well since you started with their last one, you might as well go backwarRAB from there and get End Hits. I like it as much as The Argument, but I like those two less than the 4 that preceeded them.

Since I bought the album, it's been raining consecutively for a week here. Perfect timing. He works with a some great musicians, including his son. I really enjoy the percussion in this one.

Yeah, I've heard of those two somewhere before. I've said before I'm giving the old downloading-insane-amounts-of-new-music thing a bit of a break, but I'll be checking them out when I'm up for it again.

Lime Spiders - The Cave Comes Alive!

^ Absolutely wonderful Aussie punk this - part of that scene that came around after Radio Birdman split and Chris Bailey disappeared up his own arse. Another little gem I've had for a while and not properly appreciated 'til now.

Very true, but I liked 'The Sound Of The Smiths: Best Of' and thought it was handled well. I have to order albums in by them because for reasons unknown nowhere around here supplies them. o_O ...utter blasphemy

Here's one that I've been waiting to buy for ages. I've already heard it to death but now I finally own it :D

^actually, yeah.

the reason it took me so long is because I kept getting them confused with Bullet For My Valentine

But I shouldn't have put it off so long, it's really good!

In Vain - Mantra (2010)

Holy shit. It's seriously just like Opeth's best material, but without sounding like Opeth. It's really a prime example of a band going that extra mile in production to make the album really stand out. I think this band has the potential to be the Opeth of this decade.
