Fight Like Apes - The Body Of Christ And The Legs Of Tina Turner
A really fun electro-rock album that brings a smile to my face. It's nothing out of this world but the corabination of computer-games inspired synthlines, witty lyrics and MayKay's charming vocals never fail to please. Enjoyable stuff.

I'm seriously lovin the new Small Black EP. I definitely think that they are going places. I woke up this morning and they were being featured on Pitchfork so it's only a matter of time now until the blow up!

I downloaded this months ago and still haven't listened to it. I've only heard a few songs while shuffling. Also I've never listened to BMSR but the samples for this interested me.

i am quite a big fan of yoko ono up to a point, and below are the best albums in descending order of preference, which i have been reviving on the aye-splod today. And yes those are lennon's recently-bloodied specs, or so we are told. That one is a new wave album. The one with the Damo Suzuki-like photo is lengthy and underrated, her arrangements are much more conventional and it feels a bit artificial, like she was given a bunch of seasoned session musicians and told to make something listenable. Fly and Plastic Ono Band (the one with the tree) are ridiculously ahead of their time and still stand up today as crazy avant garde krautrock jams, heavy sh*t, they receive the music crit's seal, whereas the other two are probably considered a bit uncool

Jaga Jazzist with The Thing - One-Armed Bandit

I was sold on this album once I saw the tags for it: experimental, progressive rock, post rock, nu jazz, rock, and jazz. I didn't think it was possible to corabine all of those sounRAB successfully but thankfully I was mistaken. A great album and a great introduction to Jaga Jazzist.

I'm definitely going to have to check out their older albums now.

The Stand Ins...Okkervil River

From thinking it was mediocre on first listen I'm how completely obsessed. I think it takes time to get past Will's voice to hear what he is actually saying and the feelings that he is expressing. He has some sad tales to tell.

Fave track...'On Tour with Zykos' and 'Bruce Wayne Campbell'

Endtroducing...DJ Shadow

I never get tired of this album. It burrows into my brain and its a fabulous destresser as well as a good one to put on when studying.

Fave tracks, What does your soul look like pt 4 and Mutual Slump

Prisoners of Love...Yo la Tengo

I love the fuzz guitar in some tracks and the soft voice of the lead. I love the variety and the very comfortable sound of it all.

Fave tracks By the time it gets dark (beautiful cover!) Little Eyes and Big Day Coming.

Acid Tweegaze, Shoegaze and "Twee" are a match made in heaven and it's shocking that it hasn't been done loaRAB. Highly recommended, Anybody want a link?

Definitely. Human HanRAB is one of the coolest songs ever too. I gave Imperial Bedroom a full listen for the first time in quite a while this morning, totally hungover and all that jazz, and it was absolutely beautiful. Probably the best hangover album there's ever been.
