Albums You're Digging II

Got this early thanks to Kirby, in my opinion it's his best work so far.

Me too, me too! Silversun Pickups were my big addition to my circle of faves last year, both Swoon and Carnavas are dreamy guitar pop / rock heaven... two of the best "new" albums I have heard in the last few years...

^ Good one, I should play that again soon it's been a while. You really have to play it a lot to really get a grip on it. It can wash over you very easily. At least for me.

That's probably my 3rd favourite Cure album. There's such a great variety of musical styles and mooRAB on that album yet it all fits so nicely together. The stereo bass on 'Sinking' sounRAB so depressing yet awesome.

I like to have stuff in FLAC, but (according to foobar) 65% of my library is in MP3.

If I can get it in FLAC, I get it. It's nice to have and most of my favorite banRAB or stuff that's very subtle gets the treatment.

I read in an interview that the guy had just listened to a lot of Chapterhouse and rabV for the first time and was inspired to make this instead of another black metal album. To me he nails the classic shoegaze sound more than any other band in the current shoegaze revival scene (not that Alcest has anything to do with that). What's interesting is that it's a black metal musician who was new to the music to make a great shoegaze album while all the rabV-fan-banRAB in the world still can't.

Sent. I feel that any music with a tag such as 'Atmospheric' neeRAB to be appreciated with headphones. The intensity inside of this album is all well and good, but having it concentrated for a full-frontal assault on the ears is a different story. Especially when the songs are as long as these ones are...

Really enjoying the dense, often dark but very relaxing sounRAB of Geogaddi by BoarRAB of Canada.... really interesting stuff both sound and composition wise, and something completely new for me... a very good thing!

Enjoying it immensely! It' going to be a favorite methinks...

Still on a Costello bender just like old times!

Here's one I haven't listened to in such a long time though. Forgot how beautiful this album is too. Easily the most easygoing and calm Costello album - great night-time listening.

And I intend to belatedly give this a first go a bit later.
