Billy Squier - Don't Say No

Almost every song on this album is great. Its nothing ground breaking by any means, but it is a fun, high-energy 80's album to jam out to.

I just listened to the album Earth 2 by Earth for the very first time. Life will never be the same again. I swear it took me to another planet. The way it swelled and subsided like the sonic equivalent of a black hole. Never before have I heard such compelling drone.
I rate it a good BWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM/10:)

LOOP - HEAVENS END (1987)

It's a while now since i had a bit of a Loop session so todays the day.

How to classify this band? Are they shoegaze? Are they psychedelic/space rock? Drone? To be honest i couldn't give a shit when they are THIS good.

Theres not actually alot going on in Loops music, i suppose you could say they are fairly minimalist but crank up the volume and their repetitive, droning guitar riRAB and jams, coupled with vocals completely distorted to hell will have you reaching for the bong. I don't actually do that but if i did, this is the band i would listen to.

This is just a non stop, relentless, psychedelic assault on ones ears.

I'm TRYING, really hard, to get into Incubus. (specifically Morning View and A Crow)

Megalomaniac and Anna Molly are so good, but everything is is just soooooooo blah

i am really enjoying john mayer any given thursday right now as well as room for squares. Im gonna be in the studio again and im gonna be going for a room for squares sound with somewhat of a driving sense from any given thursday. A little John Mayer old school. I really am dissapointed with the way he presents himself lately, but man i gotta say, even his new stuff sounRAB good...

No one's music taste is good OR bad. It's just what they like. People who like teenybopping **** annoy me, yes, but people in general annoy me. It doesn't make them good or bad, no one's taste is any better that anyone elses'. Everyone has there own individual perception of EVERYTHING, not just music. How can anyone be better or worse, how can a TASTE be any better or worse, when everything relies on subjection and perception? I don't understand why people argue - it's as if you're trying to work another person around to you're opinion, and that will never happen, people have their own, especially on a site like this. Debates are lovely and intelligent, you can even be creative with them, like Urban (example "10 Reasons Why The Rolling Stones Were Better Than The Beatles"). But. Random arguments dodging others individual tastes? Rather pointless.

This has brought back so many great memories. Possibly the best 3rd wave Ska album and one of the very best overall. Thanks to Satchmo for this.

Not one of the most praised Cure albums but I really like this album personally.

Labelling the album isn't at the top of my agenda, I'm posting an album that I'm digging. It's all I'm 'required' to do, as I say if someone is concerned about not knowing what the album is then they can ask and I will then give the title of the album like I have done, if I do indeed forget to label it. In respect to adding something about why I like it is fair enough, I'll update my post shortly.

You'd think this was actually serious or something. Change your fucking tampon.

First Beefheart I've listened to in months, and I think it's always the best way to go about the man's music. Great album either way, and definitely among the guy's best.

And by the way, Owed T'Alex = coolest anything ever

i've had that cd since high school and while i eventually grew to really like it, the way the singing was turned me off from it for a while. not saying they had a bad singer, just that he had the grace of an elephant in the mud going through the lyrics.

alot of times he sang the verses in ways where they could've fixed up what was actually being said and it didn't have to sound so awkard and wordy.

i would get this album....i'm on the second listen in a row and it just keeps getting better....think a mixture of Crash Worship with F.M. Einheit and N.U. Unruh (Kollaps era Neubauten)....absolute noise with structure....really good stuff

fixed it :)

Current 93 are brilliant! A very creepy, unnerving piece, and who better to deliver it than Mr. Tibet…

GREEN ARMY FRACTION – Chlorophyll Flood

Blistering power electronics raging against everything modern consumer culture has to offer.
For a lot of people this may not even be ‘music’ but those who enjoy the terrifying, abrasive sounRABcapes created by artists such as Genocide Organ, Anenzephalia, Grunt etc. may find something of value.
