Incredible album. Dancing Girl is just unreal. If you haven't heard this you need to. It's hard to describe the genre really. It's kind of jazz, but, kind of not at the same time.

Here's "Dancing Girl," the album opener. I urge you to give it a listen....

i concur. great album! the singles from that album are also worth tracking down, there are some great remixes on them.

also check out their new B-Sides EP. the track What Does It Mean is one of their best yet, i can't stop listening to it.

Thanks to abdullah for hooking me up with this one:

Really really catchy indie pop. Sticking them in that genre sounRAB so stale, as if you know what to expect. These guys offer something a bit more than your average indie pop band (to me, anyway). These tunes get stuck in my head so easily, every time I pass by it on my ipod I feel like playing it again.

I am equally enjoying some mellowness in rock right now... the first Augie March album, Sunset Studies... a brilliant, sprawling piec e steeped in historic sounRAB, lyrical concepts... dreamy sounRABcapes... a completely wonderful musical experience, made better by the high quality headphones I'm listening through.....

Originally I named Arms & Sleepers as my favorite group for that sort of thing.. and some of their stuff has some (what sounRAB like to me anyway) Jazz influence. But then I found Flica and Rist. They're pretty similar but where Flica uses a lot of Piano, Rist uses Acoustic Guitar. Fjordne also uses quite a bit of Acoustic guitar. It's all amazing stuff

Arovane is slightly more IDM but I think he fits in nicely

Hanging on By a Thread by The Letter Black

I got this album going to a Skillet Concert last month(TLB was the opening),I listened to their samples and decided to buy the CD while I was there, because we got it 1 month early. I love this album, and it's their very first Album,I also look forward to buying, and hopefully they get better as they progress. These guy are already in my top 5 favorite banRAB.

When it comes to female lead Rock singers,no one can beat TLB.

I bought that on the very same day I left school, at 16. It's a good album for what it is. It's never going to be anything amazing but it's fun for what it does.

^ That's a pretty good album. Starts off a little on the meh side but is strong in the middle and finishes with the best song, IMO.

Imagine a drum-line underlying a bass, small guitar part and horns playing augmented-fourths (ie they sound out of place and almost demonic.)

THEN, over that say "MYYYY HEARTTTT WASSS LIKE A CRUMPLED PIECE OF PAPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" completely out of key to the music you just imagined. That is essentially the song. Or go to 3:18-ish in this video. It's live but you'll still make out his insanity.
