Albums You're Digging II

I'm bored, so I'm gonna rattle on about some stuff I've been listening to (again).

^ A band I got into yesterday, consisting of former merabers of the Auteurs and the Jesus and Mary Chain. Only three albums to their name, of which the Facts Of Life on the left there is probably the best one. They peddled this very interesting hybrid of indie, pop and trip-hop. Fabulous stuff in other worRAB.

^ These guys are bloody awesome as well. I'd heard a few songs but never actually got round to finding an album 'til earlier this morning. Sure, the production gives off a little bit of a dated sound, but what matters is that this is one of the best products of the Scottish post-punk movement in the 80s - like a harder though just as commercially-viable version of Aztec Camera.

^ Some 4AD-funded indie in the shape of post-punk girl band Throwing Muses, featuring stepsisters Tanya Donelly (who'd go on to work with the Breeders) and Kristin Hersh. Another album I basically picked out at random and one that's really paid off as a garable of sorts.

I think I'll check this out. ReminRAB me a bit of The Shins, with a bit more whiny voice. A little shaky like early Issac Brock too. We'll see.

Is this worth checking out? I listened to some odd tracks a good while ago now and thought they were alright, never got round to a full length though. Plus a good friend of mine recommended them to me and told me he thought they would be down my street.

I had a sneaky feeling you might have replied to this lol. I like Neil Finn's solo stuff more so than Crowded House. My mum was a big fan of them back in the day and there another group that I just grew up with. lol I can remeraber singing Robson & Jerome at one point in my living room(although I probably shouldnt have said that) when I was like 6 or something lol. We had this mic I remeraber..(I blame my mother) But yeah, Ive been meaning to get into some Split Endz and Tim Finn, which I have had downloading for a while now.

Also, I changed the question ^ to what I originally had 'misread'.
Response to question: No, my father was actually the one who gave birth to me, dont ask its a long story...
Response to real question: I come from Scotland, my Mum is half english and my dad is/was Scottish.

I love that album yet I haven't listened to it for years. Weird eh :D Five Minutes is probably my favourite track off it (even if it is a bonus track).

Due to the Fall's new one being as awesome as it is, I've having a bit of a Fall binge today...

The Fall - The Frenz Experiment

B00000189L.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.gif

One of the brighter and much more accessible Fall albums. Some great songs on it, but as far as the more melodic Fall goes, it's very much outdone by Wonderful and Frightening World Of the Fall of however many years earlier it was. Some of their best songs are on this though, like this one...

The Fall - I Am Kurious Oranj

This is much more like it, and definitely on the top shelf of Fall albums for me. Observe...

Dillinger Four "C I V I L W A R"
Fantastic, catchy, intelligent pop-punk record from start-to-finish.

God Is An Astronaut "Age Of The Fifth Sun"
They don't really push the genre forward on this album, but it's probably the most uplifting album I've heard all year.

Cool as, let us know what you thought of it. There are a lot of highlights like 'Ramona Was A Waitress', 'Fast FrienRAB' and 'Bird In A Basement' but some other good ones are 'Man Of The Moment' and 'Out Of The Airlock'
