I thought Barbarianism was a great song, Meat is Murder is actually the only Smiths album I like, probably because it's so different from everything else they've done.

Anyway.

Ummagumma - Pink Floyd... I'm only referring to the studio side of course, I don't know what they were thinking with this one.

Everything between 90125 and The Ladder - Yes... Some of the most horrifying pop filth you'll ever find.

Medulla - Bjork... I love Bjork and how she does something completely different, but there is a point where she tries too hard at being weird, and this is it, I don't know if it's the a cappella gimmick or the fact that she actually gets political here, but this album is just too heavy handed for me.

We Can't Dance - Genesis... Barf.

In Through the Out Door - Led Zeppelin... Yeah, they tried something different, I'll give them credit for that. But they tried so many styles with this album, and they just fail miserably, everything from the clumsy pseudo prog of Carouselarabra and the stock rockabilly of the incredibly awful Hot Dog to the pukey soft rock of All Of My Love and the horrible attempt at saraba Fool in the Rain, which sounRAB like something from the Weekend at Bernies 2 soundtrack.

Personally, I love Tommy, and it might even be my favorite Who album (assuming Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy doesn't count as a proper album), but I can see why people hate it. I'm not big on the interlude tracks either, and I think Pinball Wizard is one of the Who's weakest tracks (the BBC version smokes the album version), but the best songs (We're Not Gonna Take It, Underture, Sally Simpson, Cousin Kevin, Christmas) are a match for just about any other band's work.

The concept is crap, the lyrics can be overbearing, but the music is wonderful. It's a great zoning out album.

I can't stand Beggar's Banquet; Street Fighting Man is the only keeper on there. Sticky Fingers is their most consistant album (all of the tracks are good, unlike Let It Bleed, which has a few clunkers), but the peaks of Let It Bleed (particularly the last three tracks) eclipse anything on Sticky Fingers.

If I had to choose a favorite Stones album, it'd be Let It Bleed...but as far as the desert island scenario goes, I'd pick Sticky Fingers.

BTW, Far Away Eyes is on Some Girls.

I quite like that album. It'll never be as good as Oceanic or Panopticon, but it's a leap forward rather than rewriting the same album... it's more proggy and less primal than those two. And Over Root and Thorn is one of the greatest things they've done.

I think I might give it another spin now actually.

Of course it's a joke.

He does look like him though. He's some Canadian guy from a Yes cover band and technically he can imitate Anderson's voice really well, but he doesn't deliver it with the same passion.

Now, if they brought in Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes and made an album with the Drama lineup, that would be cool, but otherwise, Yes isn't Yes without Jon.

I quite liked that. I don't hate many albums by banRAB I love, unless it's a second album; Strokes 'Room on Fire,' Kings Of Convenience 'Riot on an Empty Street,' Turin Brakes 'Ether Song.'

I take it back, I do. BanRAB I love who made albums I hate:

1. Oasis - Standing on the Shoulders of Giants - Okay, I don't love them anymore but this album was bad enough to sever our relationship. Obviously if they're returned with something better it may have been salvaged, but alas.

2. Blur - Think Tank - Urban has covered this so you get the picture.

3. Garbage - Beautiful Garbage - There's nothing beautiful about this sugary pop pish. I want the real Garbage back.
4. Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyse - Typical radio friendly stoner rock. Since when have Queens of the Stone Age ever made typical music. Get a grip. Please.

5. Pulp - We Love Life - It pains me to diss Pulp. Zany idea, and it amused, but it didn't capture... I don't actually listen to it, it just sits there looking green and pretty. Decent enough background music but that's never been what Pulp are about, they're supposed to make you stand up and take notice.

Was struggling for ages thinking of something to contribute to this. There geinuly isn't a album by my fave banRAB that I would say I hate or even dislike. Then it hit me, Bjork's Volta. I'd always rely on good ol' Bjork, but she let me down big time. There's nothing I can remeraber liking about it (haven't touched it since release). Hopefully a purple patch and not a sign of artisic decline.

Really? You're the first I meet on rabroad. Cuz I have to confess: "I'm addicted to U2". And I love Bono, he's my personal obsession (Everyone's got his little faults. Nobody's perfect. Not even me.)...
Nevertheless, I'm definitly not the "snobby U2 fan". I can't deny the facts bout "How To Dismantle An Atomic Borab". My fav album will always be "The Joshua Tree". I worship them for what they were in the past.
Funny review btw (didn't read the whole one yet, but I will)

I'd imagine you don't know what the **** you're talking about, so I'll spare you argument. But you should really try listening to music before you make flawed generalizations about it. Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning are two of the greatest metal albums of all time.
