Albums You Hate By Bands You Love

The one Cure album i really just can't listen to. It's directionless, unfocused, there's some really irritating instrumentation, and Robert Smith sounRAB like he's wasted.

I've seen videos and heard on the radio It Can Happen, Leave It, Hold On and I really don't cared for those songs. Just like everyone jumped on the Disco bandwagon in the late 70's, a lot of banRAB that were underground or AOR were all of sudden MTV 80's Pop. And it wasn't only Yes that did it.

"And there used to be a way to stick it to the Man. It was called Rock 'n Roll, but guess what, oh no, the Man ruined that, too, with a little thing called MTV!" - Jack Black

I love In Through Out Door. I thought it interesting that it was recorded in Polar Studios in Sweden, because I always thought the overall sound (EQ & tirabre) was different, besides having a different musical direction.

I actually don't hate this album; not even close. I did, however, super hype it up for myself, to which it fell very short. After the progression from Deja to Devil and God, and then the release of "Fork and Knife", I was expecting nothing but excellence. What I got was a lot of screaming. Good, powerful screaming, but....

I certainly don't hold anything against you for being a U2 fan. I don't hold anything against anyone without a decent reason. And being that you agree with my opinion, there's evenless reason to care. :-P

Bono, is a very talented man, as are the rest of U2. But just because they made a crappy album doesn't give me the right to judge them, because they have made albums like "The Joshua Tree" and "Boy" . . . and maybe there's another album, similar or better on the way.

You never know until you read it here.

Agree entirely with The Wall. I bought it on CD to replace my cassette about 6 months ago in order to complete my floyd collection. Still unplayed :o:

Next Exit and Not Even Jail are great, but the rest of the album is pretty lame. Even the low points on TOTBL weren't quite so forgettable.
